Hi Jan,

I gave the standard user full control. That fixed the problem.

Thanks,

AW: WebGrab++ - TVToday - Quick Install Guide

Hey there,

first of all thank you for all your work. Im struggeling with German WebEPG and decided to switch to WebGrab++. Unfourtunatly I ran into trouble right from the beginning. Im running Win 7 and installed 1.0.9 Msi via "setup". It crashed with the very first run. I found that no folder "Webgrab" was created in ProgramData. So I reinstalled WebGrap after creating that folder by hand and ginving it User rights as described in this thread. Logfile was created then. However the config file was still missing. So I copied that one as well by hand. But it still keeps crashing and I think the setup wasnt valid somehow.

Any ideas what went wrong?

Yours

PS I installed as Admin

Hi xX..

sorry to not have responded earlier! (Busy busy)

I think you accidently used setup in the deploy folder. !
Instead you should run the install.bat file which is in the top folder of the installation package among all the ini files.
You best first uninstall the program (if setup installed it) in the normal manner with the control panel.

[12-April-2012] WebGrab+Plus Version update V1.1.0
This version adds an optional postprocessor that will add IMDb data (from IMDb.com) automatically to the xmltv output file. It does that in 4 steps:
1. Select shows from the xmltv input as candidate for postprocessing based on configurable selection settings
2. Tries to match the selected shows with IMDb entries, based on configurable matching settings.
3. Collect IMDb data for matched shows (Data collected : title, starrating, plot, description, review, viewer comments)
4. Merge of the collected IMDb data with the source xmltv data based on configurable allocation and presentation settings.
It also maintains a local mdb datafile that enables to re-use the data without timeconsuming reconnection with IMDb.com for the same show.
Many thanks to Jacon Berggren and Karsten Kugel for the apha testing and all the usefull suggestions for improvements.
Apart from this new postprocessor, the functionality of the EPG is improved with the option to grab from a subdetail html page. This can be used if certain epg data is on a available on a different html page than the two already available (index - and detail page)

Hi!

I installed WebGrab++ like described in this thread. WebGrab graps the EPG fine and updates the XML file. If I trigger the import in XMLTV manually the EPG is imported fine. But XMLTV will not automatical update the EPG if WebGrab++ updates the XML file.
In the tv.log there is no error.

Does anyone have an idea how I can get this work?

Hi Beast,

that must be a problem with the mp xmltv importer and because I don't use that myself I cannot really advice you. I hope that someone else steps in to help you.
I guess that you must manually import the xmltv each time after you run WG++ ?

This should work, at least it does for me. Just make sure you have it setup like in the wiki. Remember you have to name the xml generated to "tvguide.xml" and you have to have the "xmltv.dtd" file in the same directory.

Hi,

it works now without changing anything. I don't know why. But it's fine now.

I am located in Germany and I have a new DVB-S channel called ANIXE HD. It appears in the config file with
<channel update="i" site="tvtoday.de" site_id="ANIXE" xmltv_id="ANIXE HD">ANIXE HD</channel>
but I do not have a mapping in the MP TV Server configuration tool because it is not in the drop-down list. What can I do to map it?

Regards
Jens
