    Hauppauge PVR 150MCE - with one tuner, or -if you can spend a little more money- Hauppauge PVR 500MCE which has two tuners and allows so allows you to record and watch (or record and record) two shows simultaneously.

    DVB-t cards if your area/country supports, What you are looking for is a TV card that naturally outputs in Mpeg2 video format, which software cards do not.

    @all

    Thx for your hints....the prices show me that i should buy a combi card with DVT-T and analog. (Prices are almost the same...)

    Which would work with Mediaporal ? Card or better USB .. ?!

    Sorry about the trippel-post...
    (btw; the pic will show your IP and the browser you use - it is not static - but I guess you are aware of that)

    Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

    Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

    It took a while but loading the three updates and waiting, (I wandered off doing other things), while the Win 7 searched for updates eventually brought about 170 available updates. I picked the latest, largest and Cumulative ones and everything burst into action enough to re-install MediaPortal 1.33 which is running very well. I let...

    :(. I have never used satellite TV, and I regret that I do not know what the problem might be. TV Server scans only those frequencies that are defined in the tuning-parameters file for the satellite that you are scanning, so it is possible that the missing channels have moved to a new frequency that is not contained in the...
