Not officially supported, but if you will mostly work from only one client at a time, then you can follow the instruction to set up a central database: UserGuides/CentralisedDatabases - MediaPortal Manual Documentation
By using that technique, I am using a central database for my MP, MovingPictures and TVSeries.
You can also search for WHS to see posts recent from other users that eve put the TVServer on WHS. NOT officialy supported

MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo.
