Just checking that it's the ultra DVD 14 that you install. Presume once installed you just select the power DVD codec for live TV?

AFAIK you can't buy the codecs separately. That's not to say they aren't available via other [illegal/illegitimate] sources, but this is not the place to be asking/talking about such things.

You install whichever one you buy or have available.

I set it as video codec in all available video codec selections, including videos, DVD etc.
I also ensure DXVA is enabled in the Codecs and Renderer > PowerDVD Video subsection.

As I remember Cyberlink doesn't allow to use its codec from external application unless specific preparations or special codec packs

I don't know how others run it or have acquired the zap2xml stuff but the instructions I gave apply to anything. It is one line in the zap2xml.pl script that you need to change. I run on Linux so I simply run the script itself (and once you change that on the next run it will be fine.) I do not know anything about a Windows...

Thanks... So annoying. I didn't notice it had stopped working and missed some recordings. The version number still seems to be 1.7.2. Hard to tell that the file has been updated. Sigh. I stream a lot of it now anyway. Good question on mc2xml.exe & schedulesdirect. I donated many, many moons ago for schedulesdirect support. I...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1
