FYI: I just realized that the Wifi Remote plugin is not yet compatible with the 1.16. pre-release.

@azzuro @GoldenEye @TheMerovingian @bibo456 I updated WifiRemote to work with MP 1.16 Pre. See MPEInstaller or download section of the website.
Regarding your other questions I am afraid I don't have an answer. It has been a long time since I did any substantial work on WifiRemote (or even used MediaPortal) ... If you are able to read C# please have a look at the source on Github (see first post in this thread) and feel free to make a pull request!
