I'm trying to run the vis Surreal Potential Fields 1.0 (Sonique) but it's so SLOOOOOOOOW in full screen. My PC should have enough power to run the plugin (PIV 3.4Ghz and Nvidia 6600GT PCIex) but the vis runs at 2-3FPS... there is any solution?

Thanks

this thread is about Winamp Viz, but anyhow. :)
what is the speed, when the vis does not run in Fullscreen?
i asume you have a large resolution. Try to run it with a lower resolution.
Sonique vis are normally designed to run in lowres like 640x480 or even less.

Edit: Gave it a quick try. Yes you're right, there seems to be a problem with this vis. works fine in xmplay and on mp i have similar problems.
    need to analyse it.

I'm running MP at 1360x768 but, how can i lower the resolution for the vis in fullscreen?... Anyway, i could try winamp vis, but does it works better? are them running at acceptable speed?

    Regards,

don't need to try further tests.
this seems to be a problem related to bass_vis, cause a testl application delivered by bass_vis has the same problems.

    Contacted the author.
we need to wait, if he finds something.
    nothing i can do about.

Please test this with Surreal Potential
doubleclick on Vis Window show Vis in Fullscreen Mode 640x480

test it with render from Device and Render from Stream
