So the newer improved directions do not work with the latest release MP 1.1.3.0

Is this a known issue now,

Or could I be missing something?
From the first post in this thread with the new instructions
This change is already effective in SVN and will be part of the first 1.2.0 public builds.
I have updated the top of that post to make this stand out a bit more.

AIUI you still need to use the old instructions for 1.1.x but I think there are issues with viz there (hence the change)

    FYI...

There is an alternate setup for getting perfect (full frame rate, no skin glitches) Milkdrop visuals... MP has an option for using WinAmp as it's music player. I'm using this and have button assigned on the remote to toggle full screen visuals on/off (using IR Server Suite).

OK, milk2 working now with old directions. Thanks all. :)

Now to figure out how to get full screen with Streamed MP and Microsoft RC6 remote (no color buttons one), without using keyboard "x" key.

An option for those missing the red button is to go to the TV menu, visuals should be showing on the TV window, select that to go fullscreen. Alternately press the TV menu button twice on the remote.

OK, I'll try it on the machine that I have a TV card on to watch tv, but how about a pc that doesn't use the tv option?
    No card installed?

EDIT: I meant to type rc6 not rc2 for the remote......oops.

You can map any button on the remote to the show full screen action. You could limit this to music screens if you want and use a key that is not used in music

    Hi All

Basically milkdrop 2.21 is running on both of my systems (ATI 5570 & Win7 64bit, nvidia 8800GT & XP) , but playing music MP is always utilizing one of the cores completely whether visualization is in foreground or not. On the other side using mildkrop within Winamp it does not even cause measurable performance influence on my systems.
Is there anybody else facing the same issue?

Re: AW: Re: Winamp Visualisations. Finally :)

I also had the freezing MP at startup, but following those instructions about deletnig the SKIN=0 in milk.ini fixes it. Make sure though that you are editing the file in the c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\plugins folder

    Usual steps apply:

    1. Edit Milkdrop config in MP Config, save
    2. Copy the milk.ini file from c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visualizations to c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\plugins
    3. Remove the SKIN=0 entry from milk.ini you just copied

This is working fine for me with MP1.1.2

Workaround doesn't seem to work with MP 1.1.3 and Milkdrop v2.24 (newest). Keeps crashing at startup. If understand correctly, I had to create the folder \plugins\plugins within \plugins, while it was not there yet?

Anyone got this combo of versions working?
