Milkdrop v2.24 has changed the API
Do not activate VJ MODE .. after that Milk not moved and render in the correct window.

all other should work and the same as in prev.. version

If i put the files there, configuration.exe won't even detect Milkdrop as present.

I use win7 64-bit, would it matter?

I'm work on a new version of bass_vis
that problem Milkdrop2 show the Window on startup
are gone.. and fixed..
when fix the FullScreen mode (go back to container after back from FullScreen) then
i will send the new version to Helmut.

please here are a Sample Application
give me feedback how it work or not ..

your should not see a window befor is moved to Panel, GenBitmapWindow or Default
FullScreen doubleclick on the VisWindow.. Playlist, Help and Show on Desktop from Contexmenu should work to.

problem with skin = 0 are gone..
i'm write this self to the INI with the right Value = 1
after you has change any in the config to.

the button under the viswindow should work now!
only you has change the Config and the entry for Skin=1

you can handle the preset over this button ">>" = next, "<<" prev or Random Preset.
whithout restart the plugin it self.

and so on..

Add X86 to the Program files bit of the address, sorry forgot I was on daughters pc

BassFan, I can't for the life of me get this Milkdrop visual to work. This is MP 2 beta/StreamedMP skin for beta.

Was this fixed with the modified BassVis that you sent to Helmut?

If so, how do I get this modified fix,...........or has this already been implemented as part of the MP 2 beta?
I'm using the v5.601 of Winamp Pro for the needed files.

Milkdrop does show up in drop-down in the config., so I did put the needed files where they need to be.

This is what happens.......

At start up of MP,..... the Milk window pops-up, then goes away.

I start to play a song selection, music plays but, remote/keyboard locks up.

Everything is fine @ start-up, as long as I dselect Milk in config.

Please need help, Thanx.

this i have fixed .. with the DLL send to Helmut

it will not work if Helmut has not change the API from MP2 beta
to the new BassVis.dll

it's work correct on other system? NO IDEA!
no people has send a report or feedback for my last sample which i have send here.

PS:
i have load the last revision from MP2 (Source code) and found no Bass_Vis dll in the root of MP
so i think Bass_vis no longer used with MP

i think he didn't mean MP2. he was referring to 1.2 Beta.
For MP2 we have not decided if / how visualisation will work. therefor we don't have put any bassvis code there so far.

i will have a look at the new BassVis asap. I got too much work in the last weeks and i am leaving for a 1 week vacation on Sunday, without taking any PC with me.
When i'm back, i will have a look at BassVis.

True - the best way would be to have an viz engine that is workign based on the DirectX and can provide a texture to the MP2 Skin Engine. This would have many benefits:

• Mixing the viz content with GUI would be perfect (you could blend it with the GUI elements etc.) Also many issues that we have had past with the viz overlay wouldn't be there. I'm quite sure that Albert doesn't want to have any 3 rd party (or even internal) solution that will draw on top of the DirectX GUI we have
• DirectX and pizel shaders can provide much more processing power to the vizualisation effects - CPU is not an optimal piece of hardware for graphics generation

can BASS viz meet such requirements? Althou this is already completely offtopic - a new thread should be opened for MP2 and music (radio) visualization.

Personally I haven't used visualization with musch for 3 years at least. Mainly for two reasons - MP1 has quite many issues with the viz overlay and fan art is much more interesting than some random colors on the tv screen
