    Hi,

finaly I could install Win7, but only with starting from my XP System the Installation (and so I had to install 32Bit Version ). Trying to install it from boot allways took a long time. Running it from XP was about 45 Min Job...

But I have one Problem: The System is installed to drive G (C was the original XP ) and it's not possible to change it from Windows configuration (not allowed to change system Partion).

Originaly G was a drive with a lot films on it and many entrys of Moving Pictures are actualy not valid.

Is there any other way to change G to C, so I can use G again for the Drive with the films like before?

    Thanks!

Hi, you can shrink this partition, create a new one in free space and assign drive letter G: to it. Then move your data to the new partition.

But windows does not allow to change the Primary/System Partion letter!

So a free one does not help!

    Hi,

another problem: After some "optimizations" like described at the first thread, I can't connect via "UltraVNC Viewer" to my htpc.

I also can't ping the maschine. Internet from the htpc is fine!

I can't reproduce which things I did, that had this effect. Has anybody an Idea?

    Greetings

    BERND

If the video was a cold boot it was really fast. The batch file before MP starts, is it just for your remote?
I think if with GMPS (iMON) recordings work even with a shutdown pc this will be the perfect solution for me.
Fast cold boots. No standby issues. Nice guide. Hope it will work like this.

I have a small propose to make for the better change between the boot screen and MP load screen.
I did found out that if you do not have any background image ( just background color e.g. black) on the desktop and start MP in full screen at start of windows than you will not have the anoying change Boot screen > Desktop view > MP boot screen.

thou sometimes a have seen some difficulty's with starting directX throu MP so I configured a start delay in the configuration of MP to about 15sec so you get a fluid change between the WinBoot screen and MP Boot without seeing ever again the win desktop *S* it functions also with WIN Vista as also with Win7

From all the comments, your Win7 guide looks very useful:D - but I've just tried the link a few times and it seems not to be working? Do you have a new link?
    Cheers
