If nothing else solves the HDMI issue -> Gefen Inc. - HDMI Detective Plus

It should, but I'm not responsible if it doesn't :) Really shame that the device is having such high price when comparing for a GPU (that is 10000 times more complex and costs 3 times less).

Have you tried disabling the nVidia driver service (assuming it's the same as Vista, run msconfig -> services tab) ?

Tricky to do on an ATI card :) (which is the only card I've personally seen it happen on, and bears no relevance to earlier posters ;))

Hofi is running a GT240, and there is an ATi equivalent service (used to be called the 'ATiHotKeyPoller' or similar, but it may have changed name recently).

    Thanks Toni,
but disabling the Nvidia Driver Service has absolutly no efect on my system.
I tested any driver-versions, i bougt a new graphic-card and a new motherboard, but its always the same.

RC2: with ATI 4350@CAT10.3 on Win7x64 got the same issue.

HTPC is running, switching through the inputs on the TV -> switching back -> 2/3 screen.
