To save me trawling through the code, what does it do?

Anything nice like checking if running full screen/maximised but not fully utilising the screen - and redrawing/resizing if required?

I was to lazy to implement a auto detection but I guess it would be possible.

    What it does:
    - modified the savePlayer & restorePlayer state functions so that it is also capable for liveTv
    - added a shortcut for the key F12
    - borrowed some code from the switchFunction Windowed=>Fullscreen and modified it a bit

You switch the Tv off => MP resizes or do whatever but keeps the playerstate
You switch Tv on and if MP is small you just hit F12 or the mapped key on your remote and it resizes again to fullscreen without loosing timeshift buffer :)

    Edit:
In the internals is a more detailed description of my work ;)

As far as I know he is not a team member and therefore he can not see your posts in internal forums. =)

    Hi there,

Correct - I've not moved up to the big boys league yet, so can't see the internal forums. :D

    Autodetection would rock :)

I will have to look at your code and see if I can merge it.

    Thanks,

    J.

    Ups:unsure: I thought you were Jameson_UK
My branch is based on the current MP 1.2.2 so no need of merging unless you have some special patches you want to include ;)

He's not as good looking as me ;)

I will need to merge Miroslav's Sky EPG code (or DJBlu's depending on hopw things go) into 1.2.2 with your code.

    Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone has cracked this...? I'm using a HDMI connection and I've installed VNC server however - my resolution doesn't change when I turn the monitor off (I'm trying to use 720p) - the problem happens when I turn the monitor back on:

When I turn the monitor back on it momentarily (2-3 seconds) moves the screen position then switches back to normal - when MP is closed that doesn't cause any problem but when MP is running it resizes the MP windows (to what looks like 1024x768) then takes ages to resize back to 720p....

Update; looks like disablying the "autosize" option in GUI settings fixes this for me.... edit: updated again; I spoke too soon - I've still got the same problem... :( any ideas?

Another update - it seems that following post 366 has fixed the issue (although I don't want to speak too soon!!). The key step was unplugging the HDMI cable rather than just turning the screen off...
