Had such a weird behaviour also.

In my case, it was a different energy configuration between two users, one with admin rights, one without. Interchanging between these caused the trouble.

tried 7.8, but as it goes to standby and comes back, i need the password again

If its a XP bug, it must be triggerd through the driver/installation...

Well, did anybody find more informations on this issue? Because if only WE have this problem, it have to be MP-related.

Ok, as it seems 7.6 is the last working for me.
Why should it be a MP problem... maybe is just something that is not anoying normal users...

I contacted ATI through there customer care... maybe i get an answer, and maybe u guys should do so too?

Can the guys with a problem try my application and see if it fixes it.

step 1:

open the application (screen should go black).

step 2:

Press the "O" key on your keyboard - this will bring up the options screen.

step 3:

Navigate to "S3 Standby" and where it says about "Password Prompt" - make sure the box is unchecked and click save.

step 4:

Then press the "S" key on your keyboard to start Media Portal. Go into standby - then come out and see if the problem is fixed. If not continue to step 5.

step 5:

If the problem is NOT fixed. Reset your PC, open my application, then go back to step 4 and see if the reset helped.

Hi,
nice tool, at least it works like suspendtrigger i used before, think will keep it for that.

i installed 7.8, and tried it. workes for some wakeups, but the the checkboxed in the energie options comes back, and so does the login screen.

Ok, it seems to work, but it's only a kind of workaround? Cause actually Standby Control doesn't really save the options, right?
