    Re: AW: WorldWeather plugin v0.2.5 for MediaPortal v1.2.0 or higher

    Hi
    All is working as expected. A small note aside. I had entered lat/long values with . as decimal separator also my language settings expects , On 0.25 this did not matter, but with 0.28 you need to use the "correct" separator for your language.

    Attached are German strings for 0.28 and new Skin Files for Backdrop Skin (incl StarrySky View)

    BTW I did not find the properties for "Moonphase" (in Worldweater.xml) and StarrySky (in WorldweatherStarrySky.xml) so I hardcoded them. Can someone tell me what to use there to get this localised also. Or is this not implemented jet?

    Thanks for the translation, but I have some notes. :D

    Your id 77 should be "Schauer" not "Schaouer" and "Chance of" should be translated with "Vereinzelt".
    "Haze" -> "Trüb"
    "Samstag" -> "Sonnabend"

    Hello Lehmden,

    BTW I did not find the properties for "Moonphase" (in Worldweater.xml) and StarrySky (in WorldweatherStarrySky.xml) so I hardcoded them. Can someone tell me what to use there to get this localised also. Or is this not implemented jet?

    this isn't implemented. I had take a look into default skin files from catavolt, he has used the original translations from MediaPortal (e.g. "#(L(383))"). Maybe "Moonphase" and "Starry Sky" is missing there.

    Cheers, Micropolis

    Hi.
    Your id 77 should be "Schauer" not "Schaouer" and "Chance of" should be translated with "Vereinzelt".
    "Haze" -> "Trüb"
    "Samstag" -> "Sonnabend"
    Corrected this excerpt "Sonnabend" as "Samstag" is right.

    this isn't implemented. I had take a look into default skin files from catavolt, he has used the original translations from MediaPortal (e.g. "#(L(383))"). Maybe "Moonphase" and "Starry Sky" is missing there.
    OK, seems they are missing there..

    Micropolis did Wunderground ever sign up for sponsorship. Or is that up to Team Mediaportal? In my dialogue with them they seemed very interested in being a provider, just wanted their logo wherever weather was displayed, in return for a unrestricted free .API.

    Hello BigB42078,
    I have no answer to your question, also I don't know who is in the driver seat to manage this cooperation. Sorry.

    Best regards, Micropolis

    So that would be up to the the actual "Team Mediaportal" devs that make the main software. I guess you are considered an independent developer? Maybe I will have to email them and see if they ever applied, I sent them to the sponsor application page.

    Just happened to be looking to see if XBMC were using them yet. And bam there it is on the front page as of yesterday Wunderground is providing their weather Welcome sponsor: Weather Underground | XBMC

    Sorry to be so thick, but the zip download includes a language file, "strings_en.xml". I don't find any mention of this file in this thread or in the documentation file, "WorldWeather for MediaPortal.pdf", which describes in detail what to do with all of the other files in the release. Based on this post, I assume that it belongs in:
    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\language\WorldWeather
    Is this correct?

    Release Candidate of WorldWeather plugin v0.2.9

    Dear community,
    at the end of this weekend (and my post #500) I want to present you the release candidate for the upcoming version 0.3.0.

    Let me summarize all changes since the latest official release:

    List of plugin related changes:
    • add starry sky functionality
    • animated weather images are now working
    • fix longitude/latitude conversion bug
    • fix fog icon image
    • weekdays now translatable
    • weather conditions now translatable (please use the new properties instead the old one)
    • add pollen count image
    • predefined weather/starry sky images selectable inside configuration dialog
    • full localized weather provider support for Sweden, Spain, Netherland, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Korea, Bulgaria, Romania and Czech
    • fix light rain icon image (hopefully, because i cannot reproduce this condition here)
    • translations for static labels added
    • functionality to calculate next daylight saving time added
    • improvements for day/night icon switch
    • functionality for manual condition/icon mapping
    • moon phase image support
    • hardening for GeoClock routines
    • race condition bugfix for location change
    • refactoring of sunset/sunrise routines
    • source code and configuration dialog preparation for other weather providers (maybe some configuration settings can be set, but these has no impact yet)

    List of skin related changes:
    • add new properties (#WorldWeather.TodayIconDescription, #WorldWeather.ForecastDay<digit>IconDescription)
    • add translation properties (see manual)
    • add view "StarrySky"

    Now it's a good time to start regression tests for this feature-complete version, to improve and enhance appropriate skin support and to translate this final language file.

    catavolt: please check the included default/defaultwide skin file for consistency, thanks.

    The official release comes next weekend, after this I start the development for Yahoo as second weather provider.

    Thank you all for support, best regards and cheers, Micropolis
