Would this MB display HD movies, I have the hyper media chassis, I'm having a problem trying to find a MB and fan that will fit.

Nope, Atom is not powerfull enought for HD. Maybe some HD can be ok, but FullHD definitly no.

Wouldn't any MicroATX fit in the case? As far as I know this is what the case is designed for...

yes any microATX board will fit, the problem I'm having is trying to find a suitable heatsink that will fit

Hiper lists the HFC-30820-C1 as the recommended cooler available from Hiper HFC-30820-C1 AM2 cooler with backplate - XCASE No1 For pc computer cases, atx cases & rackmount cases (UK).

With such a low-profile case, I can understand why it's hard to find a cooler, 54mm height, and thats included the room for motherboard and CPU!

thats why i thought of miniITX coz you dont need anything apart from the board.


Even thou I have looked before I didnt see that heatsink before, I will look in to that build a computer around the cooler

hd will play no prob with a x2 3600 so any higher will be fine, the mb may be a prob i'm currently having issues with a similar board(abit fatality) on rc1 stick to the nforce boards if u want an immediate solution, i'm using an asus m2n-mx but it needed an extra fan on chipset cooler in hiper chassis and musn't be installed in an enclosed space.

You shoul get MB with Ati3200HD iGPU for DXVA support, like Asus M3A78-EMH or Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H (Gigabyte becouse have firewire) + some 45W CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4850e EE maybe.

I have similar configuration and with SAF you will be able to play FullHD in DXVA mode perfectly.
But if you want Full HD video + subtitles, you will need more powerfull CPU like Phenom at last until DXVA + subtitles will be possible under MP.
