Are you all trying to install MP on a Domain Controller ?

I have three servers that handles my families needs. One file/print/DHCP/DNS, one TV/DNS/Virtual server (both with Windows 2003) and one NAS with unRAID. Both W2K3 are domain controllers and DNS servers in case one of them should be down. There might be a reason for running a server and not using it as a domain controller but I can't think of any. :)

I've been running MP on a W2K3 acting as domain controller since 1.0.0 and it's been a good, stable and efficient combination that I would love to continue to use.

Active Directory has big resource usage. In fact Microsoft suggests you never run anything else on a domain controller - just Active Directory.

I'm not saying that it should be recommended setup - just that it works fine in my small network and that it would be nice if the installer could detect and handle it correct. :)

My TV server has a Quad Core CPU and the payload of handling our four accounts is very small. I would say that VMware Server running a virtual server with Asterisk handling our phone system is a much bigger load - but the server handles this as well. The MP TV Server seems to be a very efficient application with small needs!

I'm sorry, it's the same result. But the file has the exact same date, time and size as the one you posted 2009-02-23. Could there be some mixup?

Chemelli, thank your lucky star you're so far away from me, otherwise I would give you a kiss. :)
