Yep, that one works too though I like the "Simple" expression better. Maybe it's because I loathe working with Regular Expressions in general, and prefer to keep it simple. Regardless, the original Step 3 I posted is not necessary. Thanks RoChess for pointing that out - makes it even simpler to configure.

I never understood RegExp myself as well, until I was pointed in the right direction on IRC by LRFalk on #moving-pictures, and now they look easy. The only reason I pointed it out, is because the moment a user starts adding or modifying the parsing expressions in MP-TVSeries, then this is marked and then if in the future any of the default expressions get upgraded, those changes will not be added automatic. The user would have to manually click on 'Reset' to get those fixes then.

So if the default works, no matter how freaky they look, it is best to use them :)

Good job on the tool though, I seem to recall something simelair on the forum by another user. If you coded it in C#, perhaps you are willing to share your code to the developers of this plugin, so that they can integrate the function internal. It is an existing ticket to add this function, but other bugs/features keep taking precedence. Join the developers on IRC otherwise on freenode network in #mp-tvseries channel.

Here's the source code and the binaries if yo uwould like to forward it to the appropriate developers. I don't have alot of time to devote to projects right now, but maybe in the future. Other than the base C# code I wrote, it replies on the DirecShowLib library (sourceforge) as well as some code I tweaked that was written by Stephen Toub to retrieve the metadata fro mthe WTV file. It also uses some common / diagnostic / tracing routines from C-Cubed, but they can easily be removed as they are only used for tracing code execution.

    Anyway, enjoy!

I created a new thread for the plugin, and moved the attachment to it. Here's the link:

Isn't there anyone who needs the series episode listings in the EPG? Perhaps someone could move this post to the English forum.

I made some updates to the Wiki page describing the <import> and <include> tags, including adding a couple of new xml examples. For the first example, I highlighted the example text and eventually found the location in the menus where I could select the CODE macro to have the example text formatted as a code example. So far, so good...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...
