maybe someone noticed this already... dont want to read 28 pages

the cd covers in the cases are cut on the left side because there is the intransparent part of the jewel case over it.
when scrolling through cds in filmstrip mode, there are some problems with the cds appearing on the right side. the cd cover is resizing slower then the jewel case.

Hi mamachan,

i dont realy know what you mean, how can i say in the skin wich thumbsize it should use.
To get the high resolution pictures for the thumbs, i only know that you must switch in the mediaportal config the thumbresolution to high.

Can you explain me please more where in the xml´s, i can say , the skin should use the "nameimageL.jpg".

latest SVN = less bugs, so download today's version

Nice idea in theory, but YMMV - I just installed the latest SVN yesterday and ended up going through 4 different SVN releases (progressively ~2 days earlier for each one) because of bugs (mainly to do with tvserver and the tvplugin). I ended up finding an SVN build fro 22nd September that actually works.

The only reason I upgraded was so I could try this skin - prior I had a rock stable setup. I understand the risks of using SVN builds, I use them all the time. The trick is finding a build that is stable - not as easy as it sounds!

I cannot seem to get this to work properly. All starts up OK but when I go into any menu, the skin seems to lock up. No key presses seem to register. If I then swap between full screen and windowed, it show the key presses I have made and then lockup again.

In the log files I keep getting this error

I am running DX9c on an ATI 1250 GPU with hardware accel off. I have put all windows updates in upto today and run catalyst 7.8 software. The SVN I am using is today's 29/7/07.

Blue two wide works flawlessly.

Any Ideas?????

Exactly the same problem here with the same GPU on my motherboard. Thinh it may be a driver issue as read somewhere else on this forum about people have problems with Catalyst drivers! Thinking about getting a dedicated video card to resolve these problems!

This is a Media Portal issue, I really hope someone allows higher resolution for thumbs than (129x192). There should be an option to display the original size especially for Filmstrip modes.

You could try to backrev to Catalyst 7.4.
No warranty that it will fix the issue.

- On the basichome screen, is there any way of customising what plugins are listed and what isn't? Last.fm is displayed for instance, but I don't use it. Also, I logically went to "TV" to watch "TV Series" but I had to go to "Videos". I know that's the logical way the plugins are structured, but if the basic home screen is divided into a more "activity" based approach, IMO it makes sense to try and adhere to that.

- In the basichome, all the submenu items are nocaps, but in "My Plugins" the "Plugins" submenu is capitalised. Picky, but still, looking for that polish

- basichome always seems to default to "my pictures"?

That's pretty much it - please take this as constructive criticism, other than the points above this skin has a big future ahead of it.

I can help you on a couple of items;

For basichome, edit the basichome.xml file and its easy to change the submenu's - scroll near the bottom and you'll see all the submenu headings for each icon in the basichome screen. Change its name, and the hyperlink #. To figure out the hyperlink value open the xml file of the intended target (eg. onlinevideos) and you should see right at the top <id>#, and use that.

For basichome always focused on Pictures, I also mentioned this, and I am sure he will get back to us.
With so many people loving this skin there are going to be lots of comments. Hopefully we can all work together and help Harley out by answering some of the questions for him.

Whats the ID for "my playlists" ? I cant find it ^^
