If you had For The Record installed you should have imported the guide data into C:\Program Files\For The Record\Services\XMLTV, and not into MediaPortal.

Perhaps that was the problem?

Uhm.. for my understanding... never thought of that... does For The Record do the import then for me????

Let me check

Yes it does, it will manage everything guide-related and MP will actually only be used for playback, and TV server for recording. So the MP system itself has no need for any guide data anymore.

So in short;
- disable the xmltv plugin
- enable FTR plugin
- place imported tvguide.xml in directory mentioned before
- voila EPG in MP is filled?

Right?

(meanwhile trying)

Btw... using mc2xml

Yes.

To be exact, EPG in MP won't actually be filled, but the For The Record replacement TV plugin will show For The Record's EPG data, so the effect is the same: the EPG will be visible in MP :)

This rocks... it works like a charm !!

Some other FTR question... if i mark a program for recording, it does not show up in MP as 'recording'. And vice-versa. Can i select a program in MP to be recorded? And all recording would be done by FTR

Regards

UPDATE: fixed... using the 'wrong' client.
