No FAN control

Hi !

I've tested the last version today and stll got problems with my Mplay-Blast.
The fan controlling doesn't seem to work well.

I've tried all device type from "automatic" to all other types containing Mplay-Blast without success.
I can choose to use or not the fan controller and to use or not the automatic control, every time I start MP, the display works well as expected but both fans are stopped.

Any hint ?

I'm ready to help in any way to get this very good plugin to work.
Is it possible to contribute to the code ?

Suspend problem

Hi, I have a little problem with the last version of this (excellent) plugin (be careful that the file repository in MPI section isn't up to date) :
When suspending (modified action in plugin conf. for power remote button), the VFD keep the last state (scrolled video title for example). Is it possible to show digital clock at plugin shutdown as MHC do ?

oups, I forgot to give the solution.

This mod is outdated and has been replaced by already included MiniDisplay in the official MediaPortal distribution.

To show clock at MediaPortal standby/shutdown check the appropriate option in mod config.

Oh, yes. I forgot to update that prog when I finalized it. It is quite handy now - if I may say so

First sorry for bad english (I am from Russia) :sorry:

I have Zalman HD135 case with VLSys vfd and remote. It work well with Mediaportal and cybrdisplay, but there are some problems with cyrillic symbols. Really, any symbols with code >0x7F are displayed as "?". I found that VLSys use vfd provided by NEC and download datasheet for it - where all 255 symbols are avaliable, including cyrillic.
Is it possible to use those symbols with plugin? Why are not displayed?

Display (using minidisplay) works well in MP, but it still displays something when the PC goes automatically to S3 standby.


I also have the same problem that Jaylemur : AFC control does not works. Fans simply stop when I start MP.

I'm OK to do any test needed.

Here is a test version of VLSys driver which has automatic fan control supported - finally. Also cleared the code a lot so there can be some bugs left I couldn't find.

If you have problems with it or some model does not work, please put debug mode on for both MP and MinidisplayPlugin and post logs - thanks.

BTW, I have a question about russian language support in this plugin. I checked sourcecode of your plugin and found that display support all required characters. But in minidisplay after calling "this.commPort.Write(message)" russian characters are lost and display show only '?' characters.
I tryed to add translation table from Unicode(65536)->displayROM(256), and use output with char buffer (like this.commPort.Write(buff,0,20)) and it works fine.

Could you add similar support at your sourcecode? I hope it can be useful for all users in Russia Any data required I can provide

I did it but it doesn't work. May be my MyPlay Blast does not support it ?
