Does vista indexing actually help with Media Portal when its displaying a folder.
Obviously it won't help if you are in database mode, but i am talking about in "share" mode, but the fact that the files are indexed improve performance and show the folders quicker?
Is the index used by all programs?

Yes, looks like same problem, 0 size files being produced for mpeg recordings.
This has been like it for quite a long time for me, personally happy to use ts, but others need mpeg.

Yesterday I upgraded to 0.2.3.0-RC3 with yesterdays SVN snapshot build. It works like charm. The only thing that I missed with the 0.2.0.0-RC4 release was the WebEPG plug-in. Now the PC wakes up from suspend to grab the EPG so I don't have to do this manually as I used to. Well done, guys. See my system specs for more info.

I'm using MP + TVServer with an DVB-S card and this works well; I'm not using an STB but I'll give it a shot - to use the Dishnet STB I imagine you would have to get the guide in MP using something like zap2it and then configure the IR blaster to change channels on your stb based on what channel you select in MP.

I guess that was it. I never saw that screen before and was assuming the checkmark "enable import from TV Movie Database" on the config dialog of the plugin would enable the it. I will observe it now and let you know.

Interesting... I am using UltraVNC. Have you modified the default server or client settings somehow? Cuz if I'm connected via VNC and launch MediaPortal it just never displays on the client, and on the console it sorta comes up but then hangs and becomes unresponsive.
