here's a tip i learn, connecting my dvr to my HDTV via a DVI to HDMI cable, works great, but when you turn off your tv and turn it back on. you can not get the MP display back on the HDMI channel.
My work around for this was to set windows on my dvr to turn off moniter after 1 minute, that way when i finish watching tv, i turn off...

I'm having some issues in MP where the subtitles are forced, no matter what settings I choose in haali media splitter or directvobsub or MP. Also, dman_lfc told me today that when directvobsub is invoked, DXVA is disabled. This is detrimental to playback, especially of 720p and greater content.

Well. Even after installing the latest CVS and the new 0.1.3 beta i got that issue when MP suspends or hibernate and i (or the sheduler) wake it up MP stands still in log-on screen whith an CPU usage auf 100%.

It don´t need to be in fullscreen at all, just that it turns on in the MyTV userinterface would be great...

I run an old Pioneer "cinemascreen" projection tv, with an aspect ratio of 3:2 as opposed to 4:3 as most tv's, or 16:9 for widescreen tv's.
By driving the television with a resolution with the same aspect, in my case 720x480, that allows video to be played correctly.
