I meant no disrespect, I was only trying to give my perspective on things. It is interesting to me to read about the logic behind the design of MP2, and I think the unified database model along with the importer system is one of the most well designed parts of MP2. But that design does not ease...
For what what it's worth, these walls of text don't help much. Dir is right, there are better solutions that are more complete that range from free (Plex) to $35 (Chrome Cast).
The design decisions that have been made are interesting to me as a software engineer but as a user these are just...
Heh, this probably gives me too much of a pass. I have had a lot going on personally lately (several weddings, a funereal, holidays and family stuff) and I have been working on getting a startup off the ground, so I have very little time for Moving Pictures right now. But that shouldn't mean the...
There is currently no mechanism to do what you are asking jazzor, it would require a modification or fork of the plugin to make this happen. This is an extremely niche change so I doubt anyone on the team will spend time on this (but I will let others speak for themselves). So your best bet is...
If it shouldn't be called externally then the method should be marked internal. As far as I am concerned anything that is marked public is free game.
EDIT: Sorry, I missed Seco's comment above.
It automatically starts a full scan when MediaPortal is launched, after this it monitors for changes and if you have it configured to, it will do a full rescan every so often (although this is only needed for people using network storage). There used to be a rescan button on a context menu in...
It looks like you are right that codec support got lost at some point. However next time you notice something like this, I would invite you to submit a patch or at least offer some constructive criticism in the right place rather than make passive aggressive criticisms about "improvements" in...
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I missed this thread. The wild cards are matched to the database fields that are flagged as filterable. But Rochess what do you mean by "improved"?
Anyway here is a list of what you can use (not all may be useful):
${movie.title}
${movie.alternate_titles}...
Sorry this enhancement has not gotten much attention. To answer your question this has not been integrated yet mainly due to lack of time and man power. I am the only person working "full time" on the plugin right now so things have to be prioritized. The patch looks promising but it is over...
It's okay offbyone, I appreciate the fact that you spent some time on it. And the actual bug turned out to be on the Moving Pictures end anyways. MPEI does seem to behave oddly with working directories but I wouldn't call this a bug really, just an inconsistency.
