Commskip?
I guess it depends on what you want to edit out and why. If you look into Commskip you can tweak it pretty well to allow it to edit out commercials and pre-post recorded stuff on the fly without having to actually edit the file. Just created a text file to skip the affected sections...
Have read a number of posts regarding this and none apply here.
I use MP for Live/Recorded TV only so just have a recording folder and do everything through the TV menu (no video browser)
Running MP v1.3.100.0
I have a Server (Win7 64bit) with a DNTV 4x DTV Tuner

I have had this issue for a long time and only rediscovered it after issues when I upgraded my server and ran tests with my laptop. My system only uses MP for live TV.
I run a dual tuner in my server with multiple clients connecting.I have a dedicated 7200rpm drive for the timeshift and...
This is exactly the same issue as me...
I was running Mp 1.0.3 for some time and had only an issue where video skipped every couple of minutes. Drove me nuts but I MP and codecs are a nightmare so I didn't though a thing.
Finally decided to upgrade and was having the same issue switching...
Can someone point me where to get the PDVD codec? I know it comes when Power DVD is installed but I have tried installing PDVD10 and 11 (just the free versions) and I don't get the codec available. I know they don't allow it easily to other apps but I would like to try this and see if it helps...
I can try and scan the channels again but the thing is it's working fine on an earlier release and also works fine with a certain combination of decoders, just not when using ffdshow tho I think there may be issues with the saf release...
I have 2 dual tuners in my server in pcie slots and...
Some further tests seem to show that for the MPEG2 codec, if I choose anything other than the MPC MPEG2 codec (eg LAV or ffdshow) it causes the freezing issue but with the MPC selected I can change channels without freezing.
Any ideas what this may suggest?
I seem to have the same issue.
I have the 1.2 Beta installed atm on my lounge HTPC BUT I have upgraded TV server (on my server) to the 1.2 RC.
The lounge PC works just fine at the moment but my dev machine which is running the 1.2 RC client and the SAF 6.0 codec pack freezes when changing...
Nope, must have jinxed it... Didn't fix shit.
Same issue still. Changing channels causes a lockup.
No idea what the hell is going on!
It seems its the same bug that was reported in the Beta which was fixed when using the skip back\fwd buttons to play from the timeshift buffer. It seems to...
I "think" I have this issue resolved (don't want to jinx it)
I removed both ABC24 and GEM from the channel lineup on my server and rescanned channels. It found them again and I then restarted the server as well.
I can now switch between channels fine using the LAV codecs installed with the...
I have a TS dump but going to address: 188.40.65.249
Just takes me to the wiki home page.
I suspect it's ffdshow audio decoder. I have used combinations of MPA and ffdshow video decoder and I have had more success but other issues occur using the MPA codecs. The ffdshow looks much better...
I tried with both...
I was running the Beta version last night and was having issues that were reported in that thread. I had everything setup as I have now and when I used the Core.dll and tsreader patch from that thread on the beta the issues all seemed fixed.
I completely uninstalled...
I have the same issue. Been fighting with channel issues since 1.0.3...
I have only the SAF codec pack installed and have all manner of issues of one form or another.
Using all ffdshow settings all works well but in South Australia if I switch from any channel to ABC24 or from ABC24 to any...
