If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.
I have an Antec Fusion Remote case with LCD display.
Sorry I don't know the driver version, I have to check. But I installed the latest one for Windows 8.1.
I tried to get it working with makemkv, but didn't succeed. I'm still getting the dialog 'Unable to play protected or bad disk'.
Integration in makemkv is activated and I copied the dll to MediaPortal folder additionally.
Any thoughts what's going wrong?

Dort kannst du ja auch fragen stellen.
An deiner Stelle würde ich erstmal ein VPN einrichten und nicht die Ports über das Internet freigeben. Da kann ja sonst jeder drauf zugreifen.
Dann kannst du dir mal MPExtended/WebMediaPortal ansehen, da hast du dann ein Webinterface.

lustig ich dachte nur ich habe das Problem und es an meinem Rechner liegt.
Ich habe mir dann eine Lösung mit AutoIT gebastelt, die MP nach dem Start für eine gewisse Zeit in den Fokus holt.
I accidently delete a recording also and tried to get it back, but no luck.
It would be better, if MediaPortal put the deleted files in Windows trash, then there is a way to get it back.
I upgraded my Windows 7 installation to Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 10 because of the full support of my old hardware including iMon.
Microsoft supports Windows 8.1 until january 2023. Beside that, you don't have to upgrade every half year to a new OS version, which sometimes brake anything...
