.. beside that, installing 1.0 final will take no more then 20 minutes.. unless you have to install a lot of plugins, however that is not advised by the developpers team.

I used the TV-database export-import option, which saved me a lot of work and time in having to rescan all channels and remake the channel groups and such.

Ignoring the warning I have now set 1.0 final to use the Xface Skin, and seems to work OK, except that for most plug in thumbnails, a standard picture is used.. but as far as functionality goes it seems to work fine.

What are the problems that may appear when using another skin then the standard Blue3Wide?

    Harley updated xFace already!

One thing I am so glad we won't be seeing is any more replies to posts saying "This is beta software so...". Great work team!

great job guys. installed 1.0 last night, this is my first attempt at TV server. everything went very well, except for two little quirks (which i will raise as bugs)

the last install of MP i did was 40th May 2007 with 0.2.3.0. There have been lots of changes and so far, everything i great.

now to install MP Client on my two laptops :D

Always keep in mind that you sould know exactly what you are doing if using betas in an production environment. Don't blame anyone of us if something unpredictable will happen. :D:D

Brief update... Hauppauge support responded quickly, stating that the "driver for all of our product confirm to the BDA format". Not sure what that means, but to test that, I downloaded a copy of Capture4Me, and indeed, it switches LNBs without any issues with minimal configuration (just set DiSEqC to 1.x A/B/C/D and select the...

MP1 MP2 1.31.0 Cannot view Changelog anymore DE
Hi all, I don't frequently update my MediaPortal and before seeing if it's really useful I used to browse the Changelog to determine if this update is necessary for my system or not. Today I wanted to check the Changelog for version 1.34 (1.31 installed on my system) and I was asked for a “Jira” login. I tried to use the same one as...

Hi there, since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide: Guide could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p? I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...

Hmm, seems to me that there is something very non-standard about your win 7 setup on top of the fact that MS no longer support Win 7 and very little testing has been done in conjunction with it and the latest versions of Media Portal, basically because hardly anyone is using that version of the OS any longer. By all means continue...
