Thank you for the fantastic work on MP. I installed it without errors, and it works perfectly on my system.

Reg seems to suffer from a corrupted or incomplete download.

After manually clearing my Fire Fox 6.0 browser cache and windows temp folder my third download from the same link succeeded in getting me the correct sized file and it upgraded my 1.2beta to 1.2RC seamlessly.

So top marks to the team many

Above upgrade was on a computer running win 7. Today I upgraded my client only copy of MP from 1.2beta to 1.2RC on a computer running XP pro. And just for the hell of it I did a fresh install of MP client only on and old Athlon 2000+ running XP home. Both these installs were totally straightforward. So again to the team.

What I did yesterday:
1. read THE news
2. counting the minutes until finally getting home from work
3. downloaded MePo 1.2RC installation file
4. made backup of my old installation (just to be on the safe side)
4. updated on Win 7 x64 from 1.2b to 1.2RC singleseat without any problems
5. quick tested new MePo -> great!
6. donated

After three years of work with MediaPortal I repeatedly got to the edge beyond which peeking XBMC. But I always resisted. And I did well. 1.2.0 RC rewarded me with an unmatched willingness to run smoothly, cleanly and quickly. A big thanks to everyone on the team.

It says in the release news page, that the default skins were changed, by removing the analogue clock & darkening the skins.

Default Wide is darker, and missing the clock, but the changes weren't made to the regular Default skin - it's still light, with the clock on the home screen.

I did a full MP products cleanup, before installing the RC.

Thanks to everyone about excellent work!
Should 1.2.0 RC client work with 1.1.3 server? I cleaned everything from client machine and installed new 1.2.0 RC client and everything else worked perfectly except EPG and live tv or recornings.

No - you need to upgrade the server as well if you expect TV to work.
