I'm using the latest svn and the latest Aeon skin - the 'DVD' button on the BasicHome screen no longer plays the dvd, instead taking me to the 'Videos' screen, which doesn't have a 'Play DVD' tab; I have to go into 'Shares' view and start the dvd from there. Was previously using svn20514 and selecting the 'DVD' tab on the BasicHome screen would start the dvd no problems. Anybody else having this problem?
Attached is a copy of my BasicHome.xml
With the issue of no background pictures for weather and plugins. The simplest way is to just edit the basichome.xml. For some reason they will only work if the whole address is put in under weather and plugins. As the folders alredy exist. It works perfectly.
With your issue with the DVD menu item, I compared the xml file to my own. Yours seems to be messed up, and missing some ID's. I have attched mine. Try it, or compare.
Found AeonWide basichome is totally screwed because of some changes that must be related to MP.
This should be a working version of basichome with DVD, Weather and Plugins working correctly, for this to work, you need to rename the animations subfolders weather and plugins to weatherbg and pluginsbg (thanks mattsk88), so anyone using Aeon Menu Generator, these are the folder names to be entered, until there is a full fix for this.
Ok I renamed the folders and put in the new basichome.xml.
Now I do have backgrounds for plugins and weather in the basis-homescreen (with the rss-ticker). However when selecting either plugins or weather I don't get a background only the dull grey backgorund.
Can't give you a screenshot right now, because the mp is in use right now.
sambal's looking into why this has happened, but it requires files from mpsvn which are being updated on the server atm, so may take a few days before he gets back on this.
Pretty unlikely atm, this skin is pretty gpu intensive as it is, so a full 1080 skin would stop over half of mediaportal users being able to use.
That's the reason Blue3 has been done at 720, again it has major animations that would stop slower systems from using it if it had been created at a higher resolution.
