Analog program scan crashes TV-Server (2 Viewers)

I had the same problem with an hauppauge HVR 1100 TV card for analog TV.
I ve just install the TV software that's come with the TV card ( Wintv) and now scanning analog channel works in Mediaportal 1.1.
As the MPEG2 encoder was missing the TV server crashed when scanning. Now that the MPEG2 encoder has been installed by the Wintv software it's OK.

Der Terratec Treiber ändert da auch nix, es liegt rein am Analogscan. Ich habe mich jetzt für Kabel digital entschieden und meinen Cinergy HTC USB Stick gegen eine Cinergy C PCI mit CI-Modul getauscht, digital funzt alles einwandfrei, zudem ist die Bildqualität tausend mal besser als analog.
It is not a driver specific problem, its a bug in the Mediaportal analog scan routine.

Aber wie bekomme ich DVB-C kostenlos? Ausser die öffentlich rechtlichen Sender. Warum ist es im Kabelnetz codiert und per SAT nicht? wo liegt der Sinn? Ich meine die normalen Kabelgebühren zahle ich ja, warum soll ich nochmal extra zahlen?

Gibt leider ne ganz einfach Antwort darauf: KAPITALISMUS! Sonst würde Kabel D ja nicht mehr genug an uns verdienen. Während in anderen Ländern ausser Pay-TV schon alles ohne Mehrkosten digital über Kabel empfangbar ist, hat hier ein Monopolist die Hand drauf, obwohl der Druck gerade durch Ausbau des öffentlichen DVB-T Netzes ja eigentlich immer höher werden müsste. Man munkelt sogar das die Ausstrahlung bestimmter Sender und die Ausstrahlung von HD-Inhalten über DVB-T absichtlich geblockt wird...und alternativ ne Schüssel für DVB-S kann sich nicht jeder so einfach an die Fassade nageln.
Zum Glück habe ich den analogen Kableanschluss eh schon von der Wohnbaugenossenschaft hier liegen, zahle den also über die Betriebskosten, da tun mir die 9,90€/Monat zusätzlich für Kabel Digital auch nicht mehr weh. Zumal wirklich Dimensionen zwischen analoger und digitaler Bildqualität liegen.

.The quintessence was the question, why we here in Germany have to pay extra for receiving digital cable tv while in most other countries you can receive digital cable tv for free and there is only one answer: CAPITALISM due to MONOPOLISM of the german cable providers!
My problem was resolved. It turned out be Vista Media center. I had to disable VMC services and restart for the Analog scan to work.
