Analog program scan crashes TV-Server (1 Viewer)

Simone: Hi I stopped the service and deleted the xml file and a cleaned out the DB so it is completely fresh. Then I started the tvservice again.

First scan resulted in a fast no signal (the scan completed in about 5-6 sec) on every channel. (See attached logs)
The second scan resulted in what I can see the error same as before.

Hello Simone,
I also stopped the service, deleted the XML, and restarted the service.
Works partly - no more crash during scanning, but now 0 channels found...
Before starting another scan, I again have to delete the XML, otherwise the 'invalid value for value' error re-occurs.

We may have found something wrong, but we need your xml file ( the one under Analog dir from TVE ) to better understanding...

update from my setup: After installing WinTV7 (the original SW for my card Hauppauge HVR-1100), channels are found, and subsequents scan do not raise an error.

This is because you where missing the SW encoder, but SetupTv should show a warning message about this, not crash

So, the solution to the problem is to make sure we have a software encoder installed, or that was just SVlonestar's issue?

I did what you said chemelli, and I stopped the service and started it again when I deleted that xml file. It would scan the first time, but find no channels. Doing it again would crash and close out.

This card has an Conexant 23885, and I got the drivers straight from Windows Update. BTW, I included the XML file.

Tried it. Stopped the tvservice and deleted the xml then started it again.
Same errors as the old .dll file.
Here are my logs. They are from selevting sweden then cable. Starting the scan = no signal then running the scan again and getting the value error.

I hope this thread will bring a solution to this issue.

I have set up an new PC for testing with the svn's. the configuration inludes the following hardware:

Intel Pentium 4 2,8Ghz
HP/ Compaq board with Intel i965 chipset.
512 mb Memory
Windows XP SP3 installed

I installed two analog cards
Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP with Conexant fusion 878A Chipsatz (don't now wy this is different to NTM's winfast)
Driver Version: Latest from leadtek homepage

And
Hauppauge Win/TV-PCI with bt848 Chipset
Driver Version: latest from Homepage

Both card are working well with the software from Hauppauge/Leadtek.
I have the same Problems as NTM with both cards. Does it make sense if I post my logs too? or is it easier if you work on a solution with NTM first?
