I tried analogue channels in MCE...
    they worked.
I will restart and validate this strange behaviour ;-)
and then I will look whether MP has learned from MCE ;-)

    okay, deactivated MCE again.
    restarted.
    analogue works in MP!!!

Awesome! ... but kinda weird too. :D
Do we know that using the tuner in MCE solved the problem?

    Hi again

If the problem is occurring after standby/hibernate-->resume then the tuner driver may be the problem... and since you're already using the latest driver you would need to contact Hauppauge and report the problem.

    restarted -> MCE worked.
    disabled MCE by policy again.
    restart.
    MP still won't work.
so I would have to re-install the driver, enable MCE again. disable MCE and then it would work...
    but I maybe buying me a HVR-4400 :-(

    Hi again

No, you don't want the 4400. It is more of a pain for analog because it requires software encoders. You could try using devcon commands to restart the tuner driver (so you don't have to restart the operating system). That can be run as a scheduled task after resuming from sleep or hibernate.

    Hi mm,

    unfortunately it won't work.
Which of the Hardware IDs in the driver do I have to use?

Thank you very much for your help and patience with my system ;-)

Ahhhh, you're running Windows Vista or 7 aren't you? I think you'd have to start the terminal as administrator to get the privilege required to use devcon. I use an administrator level account on XP, which is why it works for me.
