Great work was loving it i had the v 0.6 and everything was great. Then v 0.7 and new GMA was posted ininstalled everything installed all the new stuff now I get no connection to server the remote part works. running vista and have a Epic 4G what happed? also I tried to unstall everything and go beack to all the old stuff V 0.6 old GMA but still no connection to server.

music doesnt work for me. if i press on Artist or Album then ampdroid crash.

if i try to open this link "http://localhost:44321/GmaWebService...sort=0&order=0" i get a empty website.
all other test links work fine for me only the music not.

You have something to fix for me?

Check your GMA config.xml file...
<database name="music" filename="C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\MusicDatabaseV12.db3" />

I had to change MusicDatabaseV12.db3 to MusicDatabaseV11.db3... You must go to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\ and check a file size. If your MusicDatabaseV12.db3 have 0 kb you must change to MusicDatabaseV11.db3... In my case working..

P.S. If you change something in file you must restart a GMAProcess in system.

Before ask please read a thread...

The service GmaWebservice is used to access the media collection on your htpc. Download from General Media Access WebService - Download: 0.2.0 Beta and run the installer. You also have to install the full version of .NET 4.0 Runtime.

After install .NET 4.0 restart your PC.

I get the message "no connection to the service". So I think my problem is to establish a connection from my mobile to the service and not the access from the service to the databases

I think that error also comes up, if nothing is returned by GMA. What's the output of the video test link? Is it just "[]"?

Link works, result is like you described it. What am I doing wrong?

First of all thank you for this great app!

At me I noticed 3 "issues":
- After longer standby of the phone the connection ist lost and it is only connected when press connect in start screen
- VPlayer crashes on my VPlayer (but I think is is an error of VPlayer not of your app!)
- It would be very nice, if there are different functions for up/down... keys within livetv, video. In livetv I would like to change the channel by pressing up and down.

Hi,

I seem to have a problem with the gmawebservice? I have .net 4.0 full installed, and MP1.2 beta. When i go to the test webpage, or in fact any webpage links above, I get the following message:

"Service
Endpoint not found.
"


Any ideas? The remote works fine, I also can't seem to use the tv4home server, it appears to time out despite being installed. Thanks in advance!



Edit - Ah, just seen that the default DB files may not exactly correlate to where they are...I'll double check that now ;-)

Edit again - ok, weird. The config was fine...i uninstalled it, then reinstalled it. And it works now, hurrah!

I found a solution about streaming working. In tv server->streaming I change a options from auto mode to my server IP address. Now working but without audio...only video... I don't known why.

Good catch... The problem is (I think) that the tv server per default will return an url like "rtsp://myhtpc:554/stream2.0" and as I mentioned earlier android seems to have a few serious bugs when it comes to resolving dhcp host names.

Again, this is a problem with GMA. PLEASE POST IN THE APPROPRIATE THREAD!

The videos tab contains the items of the MediaPortal videos database view. You need a db scan first. Also please post Gma related questions in the gma thread.

Oh I see. I am not using the Video Database at all that way. Seems to be very cumbersome, without any additional plugins. I am not sure if this is a GMA related question then: would it be possible to add the ability to browse through the video folders as well? (Like the other Android Remote.)

That would be the shares view.

When starting a movie and switching to the remotecontrol-section it would be better to add a STOP button instead of having to push the "more"-button and select STOP.

A little-known secret: long-pressing pause will trigger the stop command...
