Nice one, good with diebagger.

I was a little trigger happy in my last post - I still can't get it to work. When I load up the test urls on my pc they work fine (going over the network, ie i have changed localhost to the MP ip and requested it over my lan) however on my android phone, which is connected via wifi to my lan and can connect to the wifi remote portion of the code, says it cant establish a connection when i click music or videos. Any ideas?

That would be the shares view.

Oh, but I can't get to the shares view. The GMA webservice returns "[]" for videos, since I do not use the video database. I can access the GMA webservice directly from the android phone as well (using the testlink in a browser on the phone), so the connection from my phone to the PC running GMA should work. Are you sure aMPdroid lets you into the Video section if GMA webservice is returning nothing for the videos (since nothing is in the database)?

Link works, result is like you described it. What am I doing wrong?

My guess is, you are not using the video database either?

    Hi DieBagger,

I wonder if the issues some are having with the GMA service is because the link in the first post is to the older 0.1.0.0 download whereas the link in your second post is to the newer 0.2.0.0 download.

The 0.1.0.0 download gives me the same "endpoint" errors I've seen mentioned by others in this thread.

Seems a bit obvious but thought I'd mention it

Keep up the great work!! :D

    All the best,

    Wo0zy

    Dude,

With all the great development work you've been doing a little documentation oversight is just about forgivable :D

BTW, is there any chance that you'll be able to got ISO playback working when using Moving Pictures? I know that Cheezey had an issue with that in ipimp. If not aMPdroid is good enough to make me convert those suckers :)

    All the best,

    Wo0zy

Hm, I tried adding at least one entry to the video database of MediaPortal, however, aMPdroid still tells me "No connection to service", when I try to access the video section. I can access http://x.x.x.x:44321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetAllVideos?sort=0&order=0 (x.x.x.x being the IP of the MediaPortal client where GMA is running) from the Android phone via a browser just fine and can download the file with the information in it (just one video database entry in my case). I have also checked if the downloaded file has the same content as the one I download when I try the URL on the PC itself. I don't know what else I could check.

The MP client is a WinXP SP3 machine, no firewall is running on it.

// aaah, now I got it. I had to manually change the username and password from the default admin/admin. I think I read that somewhere here in the thread even? Should have thought of that earlier, darn :p

//² ah, it seems that I simply had to enter admin/admin manually in the aMPdroid app? I thought, if I don't tick the checkbox below, the app would use admin/admin by default

You`ve done an awesome job, but in my opinion, there are some Features, that i would really appreciate if you can implementate these things:

-Vol up/down over the Hardkeys of the Android device for Vol up/down(works in XBMC remote quite well)
-For me only the remote function works
@ the rest I had an error: no connection to service or not yet implemented
-a music view like in Sonbird remote app would be really nice(where I can see which music is on the HTPC, and select it manually) Hard to explain:
    -ca like this: http://www.gazouillis-songbird.info...05/songbird-remote-pro-play-queue-180x300.jpg
    - where you can sort the Music after Artist/Songs/album etc and even can switch the music when you`re in the kitchen to the music you want
    - for films/radio/online videos such a function would even be nice
