Yes, maybe there is something wrong with my remote installation/configuration. The strange thing is, that most of the commands are working.

- connect to MP;
- select movies (available movies are shown);
- movie details are shown (when movie is selected);
- play on pc -> "remote not connected"

Well, I believe that there HAS to be something stopping my tablet from running aMPdroid. I have a MaiPad MX012B (10" Android 2.2 512 4GB).

I have tried using IP address, Host name, using share info, without share info, created an account w/password still cant find it.

Everything I have tried.. from changing ports and opening new ports, to not using wifi and ethernet instead.... I have tried everything I can think of..... can not get aMPdroid to connect ofr any of the functions.

Democlient works just fine. I am at a loss

Please read the troubleshooting section and give more detailled information on what's not working.

Always try the Democlient from a different pc (to make sure it works over the network).

If you have read the wiki you'd know that this means that WifiRemote isn't working for you (yellow man in the lower right corner should be glowing).

Edit: I have added a new section for problems with WifiRemote...

when i start the app it connects correctly and wifi remote works.
however when i hit in any button (except the remote) it says no connection to tv server even if i hit in video button, or music one. any idea?

same here! Any suggestions?

Hi all,

finally I solved my "problem" by entering admin/admin in the Client-Section (user-authentification). It's a bit confusing that there is a hint "default admin" (don't know whether it is in english the same as in german) in the textboxes "username" and "password". It looks like that it is already written in it and you have only to activate the checkbox. My expectation was, that I have to enter a new user and password when I change it.

Finally got TV streaming.working by changing the rtsp setting in the TV server configuration from Auto to the IP address of my TV server (thanks to DieBaggers troubleshooting section).

Just need to fix the lip sync issue (over a minute out ATM) and the amount of time it takes for the video to become stable when I start streaming (I suspect the two issues are related)

okay I got it to see my shares, but the remote still does not work. I dont use authentication and I have tried the democlient on three different PCs on the network, it runs fine on all of them. =(

And you have disabled authentification in the app AND in the WifiRemote config?

Have you tried adding a new cliebt with the qr-code feature?

Okay, I have it all working, but oddly enuf... here is how it works....

first off to get all the shares to work, I had to tick the "authentication" check for GMA.... simple fix, read from eagle who posted above. Here is the odd part... to get the remote to work I have to connect> remote> alt button> click 'Select' and then it pops up in the bottom "Sucessful Connection to remote" and then it works. I have to do this each time... VERY small issue for such a powerful app! WTG DieBagger!!!! Awesome!

There is a auto-connect option in the settings...

There is a seperate "connect" for wifiremote because it opens a persistent tcp connection, which is quite the battery-drainer...
