Thank you, now it works for me too. But play a Music-file will crash the App, I can only play it with another app. Movies are working nice.

But the problem to play a Movie on the pc, still occurs. The Live don't stop when a Movie plays. A think there is something wrong.

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and wanted to finally test this great app However after playing with the configs to get it 100% working I reached I deadend, hope someone can help me

I have a Client-Server setup:

Mediaportal Client1 (Win7 x64):
GMA Webservice
WiFiRemote

Mediaportal Server (Win2003 x86):
Tv4Home

I installed the ampdroid version that was linked in the first post. I configured it with all the hosts and credentials and WiFiRemote and the TV functions (EPG, browse through recordings, etc.) work.

The only thing I can't get to work is Music, Videos and the things through GMA Webservice. I always get that no connection is possible. I tried the test link and all the things that are written on the troubleshooting page but no luck.
I can access the test URL's from any pc at home and they work.
However I noticed that, e.g., when I look at the response from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:44321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetAllAlbums?sort=0&order=0 I see that it only contains 2 empty brackets [], I assume there should be all the items listed?
I checked the Links to the database files in the config.xml but they all work and are accessibly by anyone.

Any Idea what's going on?

Terra... for me.... geting the GMA was going into the client config in aMPdroid and put the check mark in "Use Authentication"

Edit: Bottom line is... if the democlient works from another PC on the network, then the problem almost HAS to lie in the configuration of aMPdroid.

Well if the service returns nothing, obviously aMPdroid will show ... nothing. There is probably something in your database that breaks GmaWebservice. Please post in the GmaWebservice thread (ideally provide your database so we can try it out by ourselves).

Can you give more details? What excactly are you doing to crash the app? I can play music files on the mobile and the pc without problems.

For me, when I have live tv running and start a Movie live tv stops and the movie starts playing. Which MediaPortal version are you using?

Can you give more details? What excactly are you doing to crash the app? I can play music files on the mobile and the pc without problems.

On my mobile, AMPdroid crashed when I select a Song to play on the mobile (Samsung Nexus S Android 2.3.4) But playing on the Pc works, sometimes I have the problem, that I had described on the second question. But the download on the mobile works, and I can play it with the Standard Music-Player oder Winamp for Android

I use Mediaportal 1.2 Beta.

Today I get a message on the PC, that the Videocodec is not found. Is this related by the UNC-Modus that I have enabled in the DEbug options. ? But when I disable this, The Tv works not very good and smooth.

just ordered @ conrad the Archos 7 Home Tablet. (smaller with 7" display) - 139 Euro.
think that'll hold longer with a full charged accu.

I also have an Archos 7 HT, but it is not possible for me to install aMPdroid.apk.
For helpful information, I would be very grateful (gerne auch in deutsch).

The Archos 7 I believe is running 2.1? What is stopping you from getting it working, Spike?
