Right, just tried wifi demo client from a networked pc and its getting stuck on Authenticating with server so looks like a network thing, no idea why though as it worked previously.

I never was able to access databases via gma from another pc, it never worked even when ampdoid worked fine, i always just get 404.

I've opened port 8017 in my router for wifi remote but its just not happening.

    EDIT

Ok so now I got it working, had to change the host name to the IP and it worked, not sure whats changed that means I need to do that now but not last time.

    Thanks for your replies anyway.

    Hi all,

im trying to get ampdroid running but have two big problems.

I installed gma service, up n running

I can browse trough my videos, movies and series but when i try to stream a movie i've been asked after an external player. I tried mobo player as suggested but it dont work. Theres a long error message. Im on android 2.2, HTC Desire.

Secong big issue is the tv4home service. I downloaded the tv4homecoreservice.msi from the linked page and tried to install it. If i open the downloaded msi i've been asked to cancel or to run, i choose run. Then shortly a it begins to install but in my eyes it doesnt come to an end. Though i dont have tv4home service in my services view and all the test urls dont work too.

Is the msi linked on the page compatible with mepo 1.2.1?
Where or how can i uninstall the tv4home stuff, i dont have an entry in my applications overview in my control panel.

    Thanks

    Henric

I have used the latest Versions availble.

Something else I just recognised: When using WOL channels using encryption can't be displayed (using Digital Devices Card) - maybe it's just me but I seems as it's the sane as when you start TV first in MePO you also have to wait a few seconds until the encrypted channels are going to be displayed.

    Hi guys,

I have a PC with Mediaportal and a Samsung Galaxy SII. I have installed Mediaportal, GmaWebService and Wifiremote on my PC. GmaWebService and Mediaportal are both registered at the Firewall and have access. On my Samsung Galaxy SII i have installed aMPdroid and used the settings via the QRscanner. When i start up aMPdroid it says that it cannot connect to the remote (it is in Dutch). When i try to test the connection in my webbrowser (using the url: http://192.168.2.3/gmawebservice/getservicedescription, like on the troubleshooting wiki) it gives http status 403: Forbidden.

Does anyone know where the problem lies and what the solution is?

It should work with Moboplayer. What's the error message?

It should work fine with MP1.2.1. If it's not in the applications overview the installation failed. There should be something in the Windows event logs about it, it would help if you can post that.

Then it's a MP/TVServer issue and nothing we can do something about.

Where did you get that URL? The correct URL is http://192.168.2.3:4321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetServiceDescription. Other problem could be that the QRscanner at the moment only registers Wifiremote. You've to enter the configuration for the services manually.

The settings for WifiRemote and GmaWebservice are entered on my phone, if that is what you mean. If i try the other URL it tries to download something but says it cannot be viewed on my phone. Could it be the firewall on my PC?

I'm really enjoying your great work on aMPdroid, GMAWebService and WifiRemote. Everything works great on my SG2 and I'm using the tv streaming a lot. The streaming of local video files works flawlessly, but when i try to play files on my NAS i get an error both with the internal player and vplayer.

    With internal player I get a media_error_unknown_-2147483648 and sometimes a error -38,0.
With vplayer I get a errormessage from GMA ending with resultcode: -7.

The issue is not related to the file, since I have no problem streaming the same file when it is placed on the htpc server and not on the NAS.

Considering the GMA log it might be a problem with the path of the file on the NAS. Please have a look at the attached logfile.

    thanks

When you've put your media on a NAS you've to change the user the service runs as. By default it runs as a local system user, which isn't allowed to access network shares. You should change the user GMA runs as to a user that has access to the network drive (in Windows' Services screen).
