[Android] aMPdroid 0.8 - Streaming and more (2 Viewers)

Thanks for this great service! After a lot of trying I finally got it working. Now I have one thing that's bothering me. If I use the videostreaming, I can go to "Shares", "Videos", "Series" and "Films". Everything is working well except for "Videos". It's empty. Why would this be?

In the mediaportal configuration I have videofolders selected, and they will show up in MediaPortal itself.

What do you get when you try to access this URL from the browser on your HTPC? http://127.0.0.1:4321/GmaWebService/MediaAccessService/json/GetVideoShares
(please post the result).

Just a quick usage question. I love to use the alphabetic scrolling within music and video section. However, I have no clue how to make it to show up. Up to now it appears only "by accident".

Any tips?

The alphabetic scrolling will only show when the list has more then x items (I don't know how many excactly).

Well, I have more than 200. And it shows up from time to time. I have the impression it only shows up when I am scrolling at the top or bottum of the list.

however, i got a small prob, after viewing 2 or 3 serie episodes (started with ampdroid), mediaportal alert me with "mediaportal report a error and have to be close" and crash. did i missing something in the settings ?

another question, is there a way to make the app work with "myfilms" plugin instead of moving pictures?

Hmm, sorry, I should've known this earlier. The Videos tab only shows the data from the video database, not from the shares. If the video tab stays empty then your database is empty, but you may have files on your shares. You can access those through the Shares tab. It's a bit confusing, as I think most people use the videos plugin only with shares and use MoPi/MyFilms a movie library.

Can you post your error.log from MediaPortal? It's probably a bug in either WifiRemote, MPTVSeries or MediaPortal itself.

No. For that to happen there's a developer needed that wants to implement and maintain a plugin that reads the MyFilms database.

I've just installed aMPdroid on my Samsung Nexus (Android 2.3).

Pictures and settings don't work at all. Music, videos and the remote control all work nicely. The TV functionality seems to be partially broken though - I can view my recordings and see my scheduled recordings, but I can't get past the list of channel groups under either "channels" or "epg".

I also have it on my Android 2.2 tablet where it doesn't work quite as well for playback of video, otherwise it's the same.

How is the EPG and Channel functionality supposed to work?

That's not yet implemented in the latest public version (Indicated by the "not supported yet" message ^^)
