Seb - you need to read the MS documentation that mbuzina linked to above - and this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd464646(v=vs.85).aspx and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ee308410(v=vs.85).aspx (which may be the simplest way of saying 'don't mess with me' to the OS if I'm understanding it correctly. It's also the solution MS recomends - it suggests the 'DPI awareness' method calls are not the best way normally).

I think we need to play by the MS 'rules' here, otherwise we'll be in trouble with this issue again at some point....

Yep so we have 2 ways (manifest and/or DPI awareness (that one i have try actually)).
Now does it will reintroduce half bug screen ? (i hope nope)

There is a build to test : Removed. (2 posts below there is a new build)
It seems working but font are small so it's not fully working.

Hi Seb, just tested your build and it works perfect. I tried with 100% DPI Setting (no change) and with the Win 8.1 Monitor individual setting "bigger". It looked exactly the same and MP did not snap back to the smaller size (also Config recognized the right resolution now). No side effects found (yet, I will leave this build on my main htpc for a while).

Seb - as you've modded the MP config app, does the TV server config app need the same mods ?
