Antec Fusion v2 IR - How to use w/MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've worked my way through the instructions in this thread, thank you to all that have contributed, as my Antec Fusion V2 is now working happily with my Harmony 880

My question is now how do I add functions in imon manager? The Harmony software gives me a remote button for aspect and audio, which I would like to use, but when I go into imon manager I can't choose those buttons. If I can sort that out, then I'm on to getting the My TV, My Radio etc buttons working, which I understand there is an addin for this.



Also thought I should mention, I don't have a MCE remote so I can't do any IR learning, although I don't expect I would need to do this.

A patch is NOT needed for the current iMON Beta v7.0.1112...

They have not placed any restrictions in this version, and will driver the Antec hardware (both RC and VFD/LCD) without need for patching.

Justed wanted to let people know my experiences.

Recently bought Antec Fusion V2 Silver with the vfd

Opened up panel and rerouted case's black&white power switch to the pins on the imon VFD, The connected the VFD to the power pins on the motherboard (to allow power on from remote). connected up vfd power and usb.
Installed imon software V7 from their website. Set VFD display to never. rebooted.

Configured mediaportal external display to use soundgraph imon.

Not yet installed remotes, but display is working in mediaportal and the volume control knob works while the imon software is active in the tray. Had no need for any patches to get these working. Will let you know what my experiences are with getting a remote to work.

I have some problems with my Antec Fusion Black VFD.
I have installed the last iMON Beta v7.0.1112, and I'm using MP RC3 + SVN 16511
SOUNDGRAPH is set in mediaportal conf.

1) If iMOn is started (in notification area) and VFD display is set to never, MediaPortal does'nt succeed to turn on the VFD display. (IR and volume are working)

2) If iMOn is started (in notification area) and VFD display is set to Automatically or Always, MediaPortal succeed to turn on the VFD display.And everything seems to work on the VFD display.(IR and volume are working)
But on MP closing, the VFP display is turned off, and VFD display setting is reset to NEVER !!! So I return to case 1)

3) If iMON is closed, MediaPortal could turn on correctly the VFD display, and Idon't have any trouble with the VFD display. But I don't have IR , and volume button possiblity.

I've tried to get a Fusion v2 Black to work with the MCE remote...

Some of the buttons work, but Stop, Play, FFWD etc does not...

Is this fixed in the iMON Beta v7.0.1112?

I fixed all my problems by using the new mp drivers for Soundgraph in this thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/updated_imon_soundgraph_lcd_driver-t26713p41.html(which is not included in the actual SVN)

The MP soundgraph drivers is not managing the infrared receiver only the VFD/LCD display.

It's iMON manager which does that. I'm using the last one 7.0

My problems were related to the display. I didn't have time yet to play with the remote buttons assignement.
But I think it should be not so complicated to deal with that:
download the attachement detailed in page 1 of the topic and do this:

10. From now on you can go to the Program Command (in settings) and map MediaPortals keyboard shortcuts or extract the supplied MCE remote.zip to your Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\SOUNDGRAPH\iMON\Setup\ (MCE remote). (Note: Not all buttons are mapped, but you get the picture)

Yes... It is not in SVN yet... but I'm working on changing that...




BTW... UPDATE:

The latest SoundGraph v7beta software.... Despite what SoundGraph says, it IS restricted... It will work with the Antec Fusion Black hardware (LCD) but it will NOT work with the original Antec Fusion Hardware (VFD without IR)... I don't know if it will work with the Antec Fusion V2 hardware (VFD with IR)...

Would someone with the Antec Fusion V2 please test it and see if it works.... thanks.
