I have run into the same problem as "fecsmith",
IN IMON = NEVER START
IN MEDIAPORTAL = LCD OK
REMOTE IN MP = NOPE, none of them. But keyboard and mouse are OK in MP.

I have:
Antec Fusion 430 Black with LCD
No antec software installed!
imon version v7.20.05.02 installed
Media portal v1.0.0 RC1 (April 08)
Logitech harmony RC & Microsoft MCE RC

Help wanted.

I finally got it working!
I had my HTPC turned off and unplugged for a few days while I've been moving house, when plugged it all back in and the screen lit up but didn't show anything (not even the clock, as it normally would)
Then, instead of using the built-in plugin for displays, I put on The 'CybrDisplay External Status Plugin' by Cybrmage, and before I knew it, I had both remote and LCD working perfectly! (Note: I had Imon running so the remote would work, of course)

Can't promise that that will help anyone, and I don't know if I'll be much use if it doesn't, but I'll do my best... Good luck!!

It was the LCD driver plugin that causes the problem.
The working plugin is "CybrDisplayPlugin_05_08_2008", and imot set to NEVER start.
I used the latest iMON driver from Soundgraph w/o Imedian install.

My fixed problem:
* LCD with RC - yes
* Weather in MP - yes
* EQ in LCD - yes

But i have issue with the subtitles in MKV files, they wont show up.
I use vobsub for subtitles. maybe there is another working subtitle plugin that work.

I have also problem when HTPC is power of, the LCD w. clock is ON.
I know there is a way to power off the LCD when pc is off

Any clues

My problem is solved once again.....

* MKV subtitles wont show up - Installed ffdshow+AC3Filter+Haali Media splitter ONLY. I did NOT use Vobsub, and i conf. ffdshow and haali for subs.
* LCD clock in standby issue - I just use the LCD in MediaPortal ONLY, and in windows mode the lcd is not running.

I have problem with mp/radio plugin - When a station is NOT broadcasting music, the mp hangs up.....trying to connect for ever...

bye

As for my remote problems,

As far as media portal knows I don't use a remote anymore. In the iMON drivers you can program IR signals from your MCE Remote (In my case a Harmony programed with MCE buttons) to be transmitted as keyboard commands to any desired .exe file you want, in this case Media Portal! The response time issue is fixed and I now have a remote that is very easily customizable! Although, it tends to get tricky remembering what Harmony button is assigned to what MCE button, and then what MCE button is assigned to what keyboard command, and then what keyboard command is assigned to what shortcut. As a side note I got the 0-9 buttons programed this way and they work well with typing (texting) or entering numbers, I've never had this working before.

In my scenario, the front LCD on the Antec case displays whatever is programmed into iMON. As of now I don't have anything besides the date and time showing and I might just leave it with that. I could have it also display what IR signals it is receiving to make it easier to setup and debug.

At one point I had ALL my audio/video files playing back perfectly, but I reformatted and now my x264 movies which have mutli-channel AAC audio are only playing back in stereo. Also, I can't get hardware acceleration to work on x264 files (720p and 1080p).

Hope this information helps someone.

Hi,

I have a problem with Antec Fusion and MediaPortal

Everything works whith keyboard shortcuts mapped to the imon manager. Windows is configured to hibernate whenever case power button is pressed: using the remote (a Harmony configured as MCE) I can make the computer hibernate and awake.

But in order to use the ExternalDisplay plugin and get info from mediaportal displayed in the VDF, I have to set the imon frontview to "never".

The problem is that, if I do so, pushing the power button in the remote makes the computer shutdown instead of hibernate. With the actual power button, however, hibernation still works.

I really don't understand why the remote shuts down the computer only if frontview is disabled. Any ideas?

Thanks!

    as far as I understand:

    - CybrDisplay External Status Plugin is needed that MP can control the display (and because of this you must turn off display control in Imon: set frotview to "never"), but has nothing to do with the IR remote

    - CybrDisplay External Status Plugin does not need Imon running (only installed because of the display driver)

    - to use the Antec built-in Ir-Sensor we need Imon running, and configure it for MP and MCE Remote

I get the display working quite easy with MP, but the Remote... this is a nightmare. I tried already everything but I can´t get all the buttons work as they should. Can someone please post a detailed guide setting up a Windows MCE Remote with the built-in Ir-Sensor oft the Antec Fusion? Not a guide for the display.

Read my post above, go into the imon drivers (the latest drivers from the soundgraph website) and add mediaportal as an application. From this you can map all the remote IR commands to be keyboard shortcuts to be sent to mediaportal. There were no extra plugins or drivers or anything needed besides the regular imon drivers. Let me know if you need more detailed info/screen shots, im at my parents house right now and do not have access to my computer.
