    Hmmmm

I think i found a bug of some kind or i am again acting stupid :)

The LED Delay option doesnt work as supposed on my system.

Setting it to 50000ms and nothing changes, i was under the impression i would see a huge delay with 50000ms.

    Can anyone confirm?

I don't know if I have configured this wrong or not but I will ask the question. With moving pictures there is an option to play a random file from a specified folder prior to playing the selected movie. It's function is to display trailer files or something (I used it for Dolby and DTS intro's). What I find with Atmolight is that it works fine on the trailer but when that stops and the movie starts it doesn't turn on the lights. It is kind of a playlist.
The logs look good. Strange, i will play around with that feature later, to see if i can reproduce it. Thanks for letting us know! :)

The other thing is when stopping playback and returning to MePo, I think I have it configured correctly to work be active in MePo menus, but after playback stop there are always a few LED's on blue. 2/3 or 4 on each strip (but sometimes only one strip) usually around the middle of each that remain on?

    Here is my config screens
Your config shows that leds should be disabled when you are in the menus (no video/audio playback). So they should be off, if that is not the case then its probably something else interfering. Maybe data line to long?

Edit: Do you have a modified mediaportal.exe for 1.10 final?
I will make you one later today, have to eat first ;).

I want to try it out but cannot get it working.
It works great with AtmoWin but doesnt even blink with AmbiBox, i suspect the sketch is not working.
Looks like AmbiBox supports a "Adalight" device, which seems to be an arduino. But no clue which sketch you have to use with that.

Yes that is the expected behaviour. Can you provide logs and maybe a screenshot of your atmolight settings, so we can try to reproduce this issue. Thanks :).

Here you go, if you need more info let me know.

May i also suggest that the "Disable LEDs between:" option should get a check box of its own, with the default value being "off".

I promise you you will avoid answering stupid people like me that decide to try the LED functionality during day time.

Your default value "08:00 - 21:00" is fine, dont get me wrong, its that i dont think that it should be forced by default.

The config looks about right, if its random leds it's most likely an issue on the Hyperion end.
If you disable the leds via the AtmoLight context menu while a video is playing do you get the same result?

Could probably use the Adalight sketch from the Hyperion DIY thread :) , its attached in the fist post and can be changed to support everything FastLED does.

Thanks. You are right, the delay feature is not starting automatically anymore . Will have a look, thanks for reporting! :)

We considered adding a checkbox for that. But we also have to consider all users. I agree, for new users its better to have a feature like this disabled. But if we now add a checkbox and somebody who already used AtmoLight updates, now gets a new settings, that defaults to this feature being disabled, even though he wants to use it.
So instead of adding a new checkbox, we changed the default values to 0:00 and 0:00 a while back. This way old users will keep their current setting and new users wont run into this problem ;).

    Edit:
The delay should work again with the next version :). Thanks again!

I am pretty sure the default value for me was 08:00 - 21:00 and not 0:00 - 0:00

Can i test the fixed version somehow? Its sunday evening and i want to do some testing :)

Thanx for the quick fix btw.

Not sure when we changed it exactly, but we did ;). You can double check by deleting the lines (excludeTimeStart and excludeTimeEnd) from your MediaPortal.xml and then start up the AtmoLight config to see what gets added by dafault.

    https://github.com/ambilight-4-medi.../AtmoLight.MediaPortal1/Settings.cs#L199-L200

The last parameter being the default values.

Sure, but keep in mind i did only test it swiftly, so if its not 100% dont kill me ;). Promise!

I've played around some more with it today. Seems to work well and the playlist videos seem to be ok now.. Not sure what was happening. Maybe it was something to do with going from a different resolution or framerate or something, who knows. I'll try to repeat it.

Thanks for the new exe :)

After extended testing, i confirm that u fixed it:)

Thank you for your time and effort.

Can i have a glimps at your AtmoWin and AtmoLight settings?

The thing is i am able to get perfect sync over AtmoLight delay option, but i also want smooth transitions so i enable the "Combined" filter over AtmoWin and as u can guess it destroys my perfect sync cause it adds the filter delay.

P.S. My Atmolight delay is 90ms and that has a perfect sync BUT with AtmoWin filter completelly turned OFF.

So my idea was to reduce slightly the delay in AtmoLight and compensate this way for the delay that AtmoWin is adding with its filter.

In any way its a time taking process and i would like to know what you guys are using.

    Thanx in advance.
