I found the .10 drivers on the vbox website at: http://www.vboxcomm.com/troubleshooting.htm

Why they list these there, I'm not sure. Go ahead and try them if you wish. Unfortuately, using these drives did not resolve my issue with stuttering video/audio when recording another analog show. You will have to manually update to these drivers. Pretty painless once in Device Manager.

Note mzemina's comments, SP2 is required...

You keep talkin' about the vbox drvr ver 2.1.705.7 that is installed and to upgrade to the .10 ver What is that all about. I only see the .12; from .7 to .12. When my card installed it used the .7 ver. I updated to the .12. It doesn't allow the 'WatchHdtv' to run anymore w\the updated driver, so I uninstalled 'watchhdtv' it to focus on this.

To all for thoughts on:
1. XP SP1 is acceptable right?
2. directx 9.c OK right (has vmr9?)?
3. MP tv engine download not neccessary to run MP right?

As for codecs, you can use the ones that come with MP to start. I think that you are confusing codecs with drivers. Your video capture card may come with a codec, and your video card may also have a codec, but these are not the drivers.

The TVEngine is new and still in testing mode. I am not even trying it out.

I prefer Columbian coffee.

OK, sorry for all the idiocy I created (the idiot being you know who) I understand if your . I thought I looked and didn't see a SP2 requirement. I have updated to SP2 and my issues are resolved. The ver 0.2.1 seems to be OK. I 've noticed when maximixing the video it cuts it in a quarter or half somethin....and no 'return' or back provision. I just 'X' it off and reopen. I let the install do the scannin' and it went fine. Don't need any decoders. Now to experiment to receive the EPG.

To all:
1. To not waste persons time, a basic outline for me to retreive progammin' from Zap2it (Iv'e downloaded the plugin.) to import to MP so it has info in MP?

2. Do I need to sign up or anything unique?

3. When MP scanned my HD channels for some reason on one channel it skipped the main channel and took the subchannel. (ex: missed 7-1 took instead 7-2) How do I manulally enter a channel?

4 What is that 14:9 resolution settin' apply to?

1. Are you seein' any channels on the 'my tv?'
If not, since your good on the OS and sp2, what about latest 'ATI card drivers? Just an idea for a start point.

For the EPG plugin you need to create an account at http://labs.zap2it.com/
After you sign up, you choose your line up of channels based on your zip code.
Then enter your user name/password in the EPG plugin.

Do you still need a "Certificate Code" to sign up for zap2it?

I used the account that I set up for MythTV. I needed a certificate code when I did that. In the zap2it list of applications with certificate codes, Media Portal is not listed.

Anyone having issues with the newer Dvico ATSC FusionHDTV 5 drivers? I am running 3.0.0.3 and MP 0.2.1.0 If I upgrade to any of the newer drivers the LIVE TV locks up after 3 to 4 fast channel changes in a row... If I pause say 30sec to 1min its OK any faster It locks up after 3 to 4 changes.. Seems weird I would think the newer drivers would work better.. Just curious if anyone else is having the same small inconveniences.

If you change your cards drivers, you may need to change the CaptureCardDefinitions file to match the new drivers.

I did a Total rebuild of my HTPC/MP 0.2.1.0 with the newest Dvico drivers and have the same problem Until I moved back to the Dvico 3.0.0.3 drivers and a new one My Recorded TV shows are not in folders if there are move than one EP...

The CaptureCardDefinitions.xml match my Dvico drvers...

Anyone have any ideas on what else I should try
