First make sure that your tvguide.xml file has current data in it. If it does, then your setup is broken which maybe the channel names are wrong or the channels are not mapped to your TV Card/s.

    Good luck.

Tried updating from Jrobbo again last night after making sure all the stations were mapped ok and it worked fine.

Undoubtedly some glitch at my end previously...

    Big Kev,

I downloaded and installed your program last night and everything work great, the pdf was very helpful, love that it can be scheduled but in media portal the guide it did not show any data but in your program search it did.

I finally tracked it down to a problem with Genres, all the programs listed in tblPrograms had a IdGenre of 16 but in my Genre table I only had one record - IdGenre:1, strGenre: unknown. When I added a record with IdGenre = 16 everything got populated in media portal's guide. No sure if your hardcoding that value or not but it might be the reason others are having troubles.

    Thanks for the info JonJon,

I found a bug that would cause that behaviour, and I will post a new exe soon.

Not loading data because genres not created

I have fixed the bug and uploaded a new version - 0.1.1.5. (check top right corner of configuration page to see version number)

It now scans the incoming data and loads any new genres found into the genre table in the database.

    Regards
    Kev

Ive been using the OzTivo guide for quite some time now with a cobbled together script to make it work with MP, and I just tripped across this thread!

Sounds great big_kev - cant wait to check it out tonight - especially the channel name mapping! Thanks for developing this.

Ok - Ive tried setting it up with TVEngine 3 on a seperate machine (no installation of the MP Client on the TVServer Machine) and I get 'The path you have provided to your Mediaportal Installation directory does not seem to be correct.' after attempting a download.

Im still getting a 'New Data Downloaded successfully' message after it, although I may still have guide data in the database from my previous setup so Im not sure if the download truly is working. I did configure logos where I previously had none, and none of them show up in the guide data yet...

    Any ideas?

I must admit that I have not tried that particular combination. I have not had the resources to set it up on separate computers.

I will be able to set up your configuration in the next few days and do some testing. I suspect that the logos are still loading from the C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\TV\Logos on the client.

As I am running with server and client on the same machine, I have not picked up that one of the TV Engine functions is still checking for the MediaPortal folder.

Thank you for finding this problem. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Hopefully I can upload a new exe today/tomorrow

    Separate Client / Server Computers

I have uploaded a new version - 0.1.1.6 - that should fix the problem. It will allow you to enter the network path for the mediaportal directories on the client PC(s). (ie "\\client-computer\mediaportal") You will need to share these directories with read/write permission. This will load the logo files to the client computers when you click "Save".

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks! Works like a treat. Logos get copied to both clients fine, and new guide data can be seen on the client. One more thing though. If I run it, then close it without making any changes, I get a prompt 'You have made changes to the configuration - Are you sure you want to continue closing the program? All changes will be lost!'

Thats a problem when running it from the scheduler, because the task doesnt complete. Im forcing it to complete after 5 mins at the moment.
