Hello,
I have successfully installed the automatic refresh rate changer, with settings as below, using the 12 Noon Display Changer.
I would like help with the following:
1. I am still using reclock as the set audio renderer for DVD and Videos. Is this now superfluous? That is, should I disable/uninstall reclock?
2. My TV does not do 24Hz, nor any multiple of, only 50Hz or 60Hz. As you can see below, I have selected 60Hz for "cinema". Is this the best option?

Because you dont have support for 24 / 25 hz in your TV, you should keep Reclock. You can try it without, but I think it will get worse. Testing it for real cant hurt though. :) Just disable it by selecting a different audio output or disable it from within reclock.

cinema settings:
23.976 x2 = 47.952hz
23.976 x3 = 71.928hz

Available options are 50 and 60hz. I think 50 is closest to 47.952, so this would be my best guess for cinema.
But just give it a try with and without reclock and also @ 50 and 60 hz. See what you think looks best. Thats whats important.

Sometimes I still experience lipsync problems. While watching a mkv movie the sync would always drift until you press play/pause again.
What is your video/audio codec config?

I Use a MPC Video Decoder (MPC-HC codec) for H.264 and ATI codec for MPEG. Im on XP using VRM9 (exclusive) mode.

Although I had it working perfectly, my curious nature enabled me to mess up a fine system.... Sigh!!......
I'm again fighting my codecs.... So, I just got reminded again to ALWAYS make an image of the system before playing with it...

Hi,

Thanks for this great functionality, it works like a charm. Can I ask why it is not included as standard in the main MP distribution?

Because MP was under feature freeze till 1.0 final.

I think gibman said that this will be added to SVN soon.
