    first of all, great job! this is a must have for everyone who hates judder :) it works like a charm for me except I use DC.exe (Display Changer - 12noon) and for it to work I have to set devicereset to no. Switching from pal tv to 24p so I can watch hdtv bluray rips is now finally automatic - up until now I had to set it up so it works via remote :)
    NICE JOB!
    This should be embedded in MediaPortal from the start because it is a must have for everyone that has a tv screen connected to their htpcs..
    :D

    Great!

    Well, best feature in a long time. Of course it needs to be a standard feature in MP!

    Works great for me. Just wants to share my settings:

    Running with Display Changer

    There are two options for it:

    1. Try a multiple of 24 Hz, i.e. 48 or 72 (maybe your card and monitor are capable of it)
    2. Use 60Hz with 3:2-Pulldown (this might give you a slight stutter)

    Hope that helps.

    OK. I'm an idiot. Where the heck is the mediaportal.xml file located? I searched and i can't seem to find it to even give this a try. TIA.

    I finally pulled myself together and decided to try out display changer instead of powerstrip.

    It seems to work find - atleast on an ATI card it does not cause a device reset, which is good.
    Using ATI profiles I always get the device resets.

    Display Changer :: 12noon

    ex. on cmd line;

    "dc.exe -refresh=25 -apply- quiet"

    another thing that was irritating me when using powerstrip, which btw. also costs money (display changer is free.), is that if u were forced to reset your htpc because of a lock-up or similar, then upon reboot powerstrip would always start up with a prompt telling the user that a problem was found and if he or she wants to continue.

    It demands user interaction, before powerstrip is loaded and thus ready for commands ... not good when u have MP auto starting on boot.
