Doesn't the roadmap suggest it's just the internal refresh rate changer that doesn't work.
Therefore look at instructions in first post, try 12noon, ATI profiles etc...

As I have noted before I'm using Windows 7 x64 and the 12noon changer and it works perfectly well with MP 1.02. The latest SVN would not work as well as it would set the refresh rate to 25hz for 24hz material when using the inbuilt changer of the SVN build.

Unfortunately now the refresh-rate gets changed correctly in W7, but playback got a significant stutter @ 24Hz.

Any ideas how this can be overcome?

    two things:

    1) wait for Nvidia to release a working driver
    2) wait for MP to get fixed (as there are still slight issues with the Windows 7 refresh rate changing, so it could use wrong refresh rate in your case, unless you can rule it out by chekcing the actual refresh rate from TV itself)

    Hi there:
    1) I didn't discovered this issue with other progs. Lets hope that Nvidia perceive this as a malfunction
    2) Can be ruled out as my TV identifies the correct refresh rate. So with these earlier drivers the refresh rate is set correct (but stutters)

    Cheers,

Have you tried using the 12Noon changer rather than the inbult one with the SVN you are using.? Not sure if that might help, especially as your TV now shows the correct refresh rate, but it might be worth trying..?
Also have you checked that you are still getting DXVA, as I guess you are going to need that when using 24hz material..? You could just graph MP when running 24hz files to check if DXVA is still being applied.

I am away from home for this week so testing will be delayed. But I have not much hope that this would resolve the problem.
DXVA should be not the problem, as there is a quad 3GHz processor in my system (and I am quite sure that DXVA was on)

I think we will have to wait until this is resolved.

    Cheers,

    Hi all

I am using MP 1.1 with integrated Automatic Refresh Charger . With older MP versions I used a non-integrated version of RefreshRateCharger so I could change not only the frequency, also the resolution. ¿is there any way to change the resolution with this integrated version?

I would like this because sometimes I launch MP from Windows, and my Windows resolution is smaller than 1920x1080, which is the resolution I want in MP. The solution could be a plug-in or something able to launch MP at 1920x1080, but I have not found anything. The only I have tried is launching MP.exe through a 12NOON batch file and it works fine until I play a movie... after that, 12NOON sets the Windows resolution inside MP.

    THANKS

a mediaportal developer once stated that you can't change resolution while mediaportal is running, you must change resolution while mediaportal is not running. if i change resolution while mp is running i get an error "either directx or direct3d error".

    Hi,
I want to use the command line to change the resolution via ATI CLI.exe.
But I get the Windows error Message Box (sorry, original only in German)

    ------------
    16-Bit-MS-DOS-Teilsystem:
    <...path to my batch file>TVprofile.cmd
Die NTVDM-CPU hat einen ungültigen Befehl entdeckt. (NTVDM-CPU has found a non-valid command)
CS:06ec IP:026d OP:63 65 6e 74 65 Klicken sie auf "Schließen", um die Anwendung zu beenden. (click "close" to close application)
    [Close] [Ignore]
    -------------

However, I found out that somehow the cmd.exe seems to understand the ATI CLI.exe to be unstable and therefore wants to close it.

Change of resolution via hotkey (shortcut) works properly.
I need to use ATI CCC to change frequency as otherwise after changing it I get a smaller image due to the override value set to some %.
There is only cmd.exe in the \system32\ folder. no cmd32.exe.
I have Windows XP. No virus found with avira.

    Can somebody please help?
