I would like to see a optional feature to let the system automaticly rewind the played movie by 5 seconds when you unpause it.
Autorewind 5 sec when unpause an movie (1 Viewer)

I like this idea as well. I think it should be a user controllable option though which can be turned on/off.

Of course you can, but the user experience would increase if MP does it automatic

First off: there are some issues with the latest Mediaportal (32bits vs 64bits), so that is one of the issues you're stumbling with.
If you take the previous version (1.31) it should work as expected.
