Best Codec Setup for me (1 Viewer)

Please can someone advise me on the best audio setup for my particular installation.

Computer > HDMI > TV > Optical Link > Dolby 5.1 decoder Amplifier

What are the best settings for Video / TV / BluRay etc

LAV for all (best user experience)
And i use ffdshow video decoder for post processing

For LAV Video -> best is to use HW dependant of Video Card and let default setting.
For ex for Nvidia User : Set to "CUVID".

Im about to wipe my system and go with only LAV.
Ill have hdmi - amp hdmi - tv. I want amp to handle dolby digital and dts but i guess the rest is "stereo".. i have radeon gpu, need to set anything?
for additinal info check system specs.

setting to LAV will give HW AC, just make sure if XP renderer = VRM9 is Vista/Win7 renderer = EVR, i think that is default setting anyway.

I think you will have to check in Lav video config that hw acc is enabled and that DXVA2 (native) is set. Cuvid is for nvidia...
