What codecpack should i use for viewing mpeg/avi/divx/mp4 movies etc?

I want to be able to see everything, specially MP4 from pod-streams...

No codec packs recommended, FFDshow will deal with avi\divx\mp4, with no screwups.

Mpeg2 encoders MPV + Gabest supplied with MP, or then commercial versions, WinDVD, PowerDVD, Nero and Nvidia + many others.

Not only are there no recomended codec packs, no support is given when using codec packs. some of them do really screwey things with your system.

only install codecs you REALY need -> more work -> but a decent solution!

What does the K-lite pack do that screws up systems? People here are saying FFDshow is the thing to use and that's included in this pack.
