Re: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!

Am I adding the filter in the right place ?

Nope, try to set the video renderer from the Video section in configuration. (Click where it says "Video" in the tree).
Again, that's just an idea, I haven't tried it myself. I was not talking about the post-filter section.

Ps i try this and when i activate the special nvidia, my movies stop immediatly, and i can"t load another movie

Je ne peux pas assiste! (I am afraid I can not help). Please contact the forum member that requested the NVIDIA xml and maybe he can help you. It should work though. Did you try the NVIDIA output directly from the 3dtv.at Player? If that does not work, the plugin will never work.

I must be looking some where wrong. In the MP configuration (expert mode) there is only a "Videos" section on the tree, browsing this section I can only enable filters in the "post processing" subsection.

There is also "Codecs and Render" section but you can only choose from whatever you have there and the 3dtv renderer isn't there.

Thanks,

Too bad. That was the section I was referring to. Forget the "Videos" section. I do not remember the configuration tree by heart.
I guess a custom wrapper around the 3dtv.at renderer needs to be implemented ... I need to check this out when I find some time. It is not supported out of the box.

    Hi,

Just a quick question about this plugin.

My tv is not a 3D tv. So, when I view a 3D tv channel I get side-by-side pictures.

I have a Mitsubishi 3DC-1000, a box that attaches to a tv via hdmi and provides the 3D glasses interface. It's designed to give Mitsubishi DLP tv's the additional functionality of 3D tv.
Amazon.com: Mitsubishi 3DC-1000 3D HDTV Starter Pack: Electronics

My thinking has always been that if somebody builds a box that can take the 3D signal tv signal via hdmi and convert it thus modulating the side-by-side pictures to alternate frames (page flipping), thus it would be 3D at 1080 @ 30Hz on a non-3D tv.........and with the 3DC-1000 running I'd have the glasses.

.......but now that I've found your plugin, I just wondered whether you could actually do this in software (partnering the 3DC-1000).

    Ian.

No, the alteration of pictures must be done by the same software/hardware that manipulates the glasses.
Otherwise the glasses can not know which frame is shown.

This plug-in would fine-tune the 3d signal before it reaches your "box". It will also convert a 3d format to another 3d format if your "box" can not support it.
For example, with this plug-in, you could see a 3d movie in "colored" cheap glasses, as long as the video is in a non anaglyph format (if it is ... you do not need any special software)

    Cheers

I'm meaning to follow this up, but I've had zero time to play with anything since before xmas. Nothing to report.

Will this break DXVA in any way for other content? No problem if DXVA gets disabled when I enable 3d mode but will installing this mess up SAF DXVA support?

This will allow me to convert side-by-side to anaglyph on the fly?
