Re: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!

Thank you for the report.

1. About your problem: If you change the output to an anaglyph mode, would you see any difference? Also, as per your steps, you never mentioned setting the "source format" .... In that case, the plugin thinks it's monoscopic video, therefore you would not see any difference, no matter what you choose for output.

2. As for the 0 key not working, I believe it's the known bug concerning the keyboard hook I've mentioned in the first post. If it's that, try exiting full screen video and re-entering(press Esc or sth). I think it's the keyboard hook time-out of Windows Seven. I did not have time to look further.

3. Windows Seven 64bit is my development machine and works just fine. Since the XML and the changes are there, it should work. Actually it does if you see the "Special" context sub-menu.

4. The post processing filters are set automatically by the plug-in. No need to change anything yourself.

5. It's impossible for me to check for NVIDIA hardware automatically. That should be done by the 3dtv.at filter ... but instead it crashes! The only thing I can do, is let the user enable/disable those special outputs on demand in settings along with a warning about a potential crash :p But the settings screen will be implemented if I ever release a stable version. This is still a PoC.

6. Nice idea about the "one key sets it all" but: I personally prefer to watch an Under/Over video with the Under/Over output format and a SideBySide video with the SideBySide format. It is probably the best solution as long as the hardware supports it. So, it's not that every user will watch everything in 1 output format. And also, how can u be so sure that all your videos are in SBS LF?
Anyway, I will consider both options if I find time to complete this plug-in. To be honest, I was thinking about allowing a global setup for source and output formats but preferred the "per video" solution for now.

7. How could u help? Well, test and report back! Give ideas!

Please can you add "Dual output" (for 2 Beamer) or can you tell me how i can get it in MP to work. I need this !!! :)
Only with MP i got Reclock to work. With the Stereoscopic Player Reclock doesn't work..
Can i change something in the mp3d.xml so i get the two outputs?

    Re: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!

Ok, u probably edited your first post and I did not see the "does not work with Stereoscopic Player" ....
Well, the plugin is heavily based on the 3dtv.at filter. If it doesn't work with their player, it is normal not to work with the plugin

What are u trying to achieve? Can you explain how Dual output should work? What is Reclock??

    AW: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!

You didn't understand me. With the Stereoscopic Player i can watch 3d Movies with Dual Output. I have two Beamers with Circular Filters (REAL 3D). My Problem is that i have Stuttering in some 23.9.. fps Vids becasue Recklock doesn't correct them (PAL Speedup). So i want to try with MP to play my 3D Films. Do you think we can get MP to play those Vids in Dual Output?

    Re: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!

Ok, you need to be more clear again:

    1.
I do not have the technical background of "what is dual output". Do you have 2 TVs ??? Do you have 1 TV with 2 inputs??
If 2 outputs are involved from your gfx card, then it will be much more difficult since the graph needs to be changed. this means MP needs to be changed. I do not have control over the graph. That is why this plug-in is in PoC. People from MP should get it and evolve it. It needs to be "inside" MP to get all those "weird" 3d formats to work.

    2.
Recklock. It is a filter which fixes sth. It does not fix it right in some vids and this is the reason u want to test in MP. Did I miss sth?

    Re: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!

Ooho, dude!! You've got a theater there! Ok, that's 2 projectors and not TVs. That explains it.

This is not something that would work out of the box with some configuration changes. I'll have to look into it. Dual output, dual input and configuration were on my todo list for the alpha version. I'll see what I can do but it will take much time. Sorry.

In the meanwhile, I suggest that you try to use the reclock from within 3dtv.at player. He has some post processing filter options if I remember correctly. If that does not work, I don't see how it would work from within MP. Please explain.
