Re: [PoC - Update 2010/09/12] MP3D - Render 3D via MediaPortal!
Thank you for the report.
1. About your problem: If you change the output to an anaglyph mode, would you see any difference? Also, as per your steps, you never mentioned setting the "source format" .... In that case, the plugin thinks it's monoscopic video, therefore you would not see any difference, no matter what you choose for output.
2. As for the 0 key not working, I believe it's the known bug concerning the keyboard hook I've mentioned in the first post. If it's that, try exiting full screen video and re-entering(press Esc or sth). I think it's the keyboard hook time-out of Windows Seven. I did not have time to look further.
3. Windows Seven 64bit is my development machine and works just fine. Since the XML and the changes are there, it should work. Actually it does if you see the "Special" context sub-menu.
4. The post processing filters are set automatically by the plug-in. No need to change anything yourself.
5. It's impossible for me to check for NVIDIA hardware automatically. That should be done by the 3dtv.at filter ... but instead it crashes! The only thing I can do, is let the user enable/disable those special outputs on demand in settings along with a warning about a potential crash But the settings screen will be implemented if I ever release a stable version. This is still a PoC.
6. Nice idea about the "one key sets it all" but: I personally prefer to watch an Under/Over video with the Under/Over output format and a SideBySide video with the SideBySide format. It is probably the best solution as long as the hardware supports it. So, it's not that every user will watch everything in 1 output format. And also, how can u be so sure that all your videos are in SBS LF?
Anyway, I will consider both options if I find time to complete this plug-in. To be honest, I was thinking about allowing a global setup for source and output formats but preferred the "per video" solution for now.
7. How could u help? Well, test and report back! Give ideas!
